Hello! I'm planning for this to have only one other part- I'm feeling sorta lazy so this one's going to be really short. Then I'll bring Percy back to the present after he was bitten- THAT might take a few parts to cover before I continue to the next section, you know? Anyways, onto the story! I also apologize if it's too short- I'm actually running out of ideas. So sorry! I'm already starting the next chapter, hopefully it'll be long and updated by Wednesday or Saturday!

Percy had felt extremely guilty about what he had done to his cousin- no ex-cousin. He tried to shake the guilt off- so he looked for demigods, learning to sense their auras like a satyr could. He wouldn't try to gain their trust in the school or anything, though. He just patiently waited, watching over them carefully. He remembered his first demigod- his name was Sam, most likely a son of Hermes. Sam was 5 ft 3", had blonde hair, and hazel eyes. Percy had saved Sam, an orphan demigod, from a hellhound. Then he led the other half-blood to the Camp, traveling through the woods nearby and protecting him. When the woods ended and they can see the boundary, Percy turned to Sam and told him a lot of things, but not his name. "But if you describe me to them, don't believe what they say, especially that jackass Jack. Jack will tell nothing but lies." Percy instructed. "But who are you?" Sam asked suspiciously. The betrayed hero hesitated- wondering what he should tell him. "I'm Nobody (Ha, get it?)." Percy decided carefully, his sea-green eyes staring into Sam's curious hazel eyes for a long moment before looking away.

Sam stared at Percy for a second longer before turning and running towards the camp, confident that the strange demigod was protecting him. Percy watched him run off, and when the demigod passed Thalia's tree he sighed and leaned heavily against a tree, running his hands running through his pitch black hair, holding back the pain he felt when he was so close to the camp. His entire body shuddered with the effort to keep the tears in, to try to dull the pain, to dull his memories, to forget, and most of all, to ignore all of the pain he felt, the sorrow, the anger, the horror, and heart break. "Why me?" Percy asked to nobody, silently cursing the Fates. The broken hero staggered from the tree, and managed to jog away from the source of all of his pain, knowing that the campers would investigate the mystery person who had saved Sam. But before he could run a mile and half away, he threw back his head and wailed, "WHY?!"
