PART ONE
Omega's POV
Fear filled every inch of me, but I ignored it. Time to show that I'm not one to be messed with. Even though chances are that I'll die by Spike's paw. His sad golden eyes begged for me to take back my challenge, but I refused. I put my emotional mask on, turning my face blank and my eyes into cold dark stones. I began spinning my swords, faster and faster. My team watched, puzzled. But there was a purpose behind this. I threw my spinning swords into the air, and when I caught them, they turned into armor that quickly surrounded me.
Chaos put this enchantment on my swords so that they could turn into armor after I got him a date. Spike's eyes widened and he paused. Then Spike threw off his cloak, revealing dark, polished armor. I smirked. Spike's armor had chinks in it. Mine didn't. One little advantage that could be the difference between life and death for me. I pulled out Riptide and.... Betrayed, a sword that I rarely used. I made Betrayed myself. Betrayed was a mixture of every metal there was, and the deepest feeling of betrayal and pain.
I put on my mask, the one that I was wearing when I came into this camp, but it was repaired and thicker. What? I didn't want any scars on my face! Well, more than one. I called on Storm to share his energy. He came, quickly, because if I died, he died with me. Spike eyed me almost.... nervously? We circled each other, scanning and analyzing each other. Picking out weaknesses. Calculating. Figuring out the best way to escape alive. Noting the advantages that the opponent had. You could cut the tension with a knife. It was that thick.
I cut off the mind link- the voices of my team begging me to accept the counter order was annoying, distracting. I noticed that Spike was carefully stalking closer, like a wary wolf approaching a threat, deciding whether or not it could kill the threat. My eyes narrowed as Spike suddenly howled and charged me. Looks like he decided. I charged at Spike, and slid under his stomach, stabbing Riptide and Betrayed through the armor before quickly yanking them out and retreating a short distance.
I felt Spike's pain-filled golden eyes burn into me, no doubt feeling betrayed. I also heard his pain filled howl shake the arena. I spun around to face him, wary. Spike's golden eyes were smoldering now, filled with hate. This was why I didn't use Betrayed, but unfortunately that was the only other sword I had, that was able to pierce through Spike's armor. But now mercy was completely off the table. I grimaced as Spike snarled. Yep. I was going to die.
I met Spike's hate-filled eyes and sighed. At least I would go down fighting. Storm was grim, completely un-annoying at this moment. I met Spike's next attack with both swords. There was a shower of sparks, and in my moment of blindness Spike managed to bite my right shoulder, his fangs ripping through my armor easily. I let loose a cry of pain before punching Spike in the nose so hard that he flew backwards, breaking the wall.
I sighed before running to the hole and jumping out of the arena. I always finish what I start. But looks like I'm the one that's going to be finished. Well. It wasn't exactly a good life, but it was enough. After all, all good things must come to an end the same way what comes up must come down. AGH!!! Stupid ADHD! I'm about to die! I shook my head. Well, I always wanted death, just not by Spike's paw. Beggars can't be choosers. A flash of Spike's fangs and claws was the last thing I saw before my vision turned red.
