Two New Recruits(49) Part Three

Faith(My) POV

I pace back in forth in front of Esperanza, desperately hoping she wakes up.
The Apollo cabin campers keep coming up to me and trying to heal my injuries, but I push them away. I will not be healed until I KNOW that Esperanza is okay.

"She'll be fine, miss. I promise." One of the Apollo campers tell me.

I grab his shoulders and shake him hard, causing his head to bob and his hair to fly around.

"But how do you know for sure?!?!?!" I scream at him.

He remains silent.
I groan and sit down at the foot of her bed, my head between my knees.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up.

It's that guy with the breathtaking eyes.

"You really should get those injuries healed. They could get infected. I get that you're worried about your friend, but how do you think she'll feel when she wakes up and sees you injured?"

I sigh, knowing he is right.

"Who are you?"

"I'll tell you later, okay?"

"Okay, I guess. Thank you."

"You're welcome-" he gets cut off by a groan.

I whip my head around and see Esperanza sitting up.

"Esperanza!!!" I scream and leap at her, tackling her in a hug.

I hear her grunt from the impact, hesitate, then warm arms are around me, holding me just as tight as I am holding her.

"Did you miss me?"

"I missed you so much! I'm so glad you're okay!"

"Me too...Faith, are you still hurt?"

"Only a little. It's just a couple scratches."

"Ugh, you and your loyalty. Healer!"

A daughter of Apollo walks up to us with a Tupperware of ambrosia and a canteen of nectar. A son of Apollo brings bandaids and ointment.

They quickly wrap up my injuries and I eat a square of ambrosia and drink a bit of nectar. It tastes like caramel. I smile.

"Okay, I'm better now!"

Esperanza just shakes her head at me. She grabs herself some ambrosia and nectar then swings her legs off the bed, standing up, and was about to walk out the door when the same guy that comforted me earlier grabbed her arm.

"Come with me." His voice is deep, but not too much, and smooth, velvety.

He looks at me and grabs my hand, pulling me along. I feel like I have connection to him. Like a string is tugging me closer to him.

He leads us to a clearing in the woods, and waves his hand. I watch as the air around us shines, like its a clear wall. It probably isn't clear though.

The guy coughs, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"I am Omega, one of two commanders of Chaos' army."

"Chaos? Like, the creator of the Universe, Chaos?" I ask, bewildered.

He chuckles. "Yes. Exactly like that."

"And what does the Commander of his army want with our awesome selves?" Esperanza prods.

"I would like to offer you a place in my army. Your potential is great and from the fight I witnessed, I would say both your parents are powerful and Zeus will want to strike you down. Do you know who your parents are?"

"Yeah, mine is Nyx." Esperanza states.

"My dad is Poseidon."

The guy's eyes widen, "Poseidon, like, the sea god?"

"Yeah, is there something wrong?"

"No, no...nothing's wrong, but that would make you...oh my gods you're my sister! I've always wanted a sister."

"You're a son of Poseidon?"

"Was. He disowned me. But his blood still runs through my veins."

"Oh."

"So, are you guys joining?"

I look to Esperanza.

"Are you joining?"

"Hell yeah!" She answers excitedly.

"Alright, I'm in." I say and smile. cannot wait to get started on this journey.
