Omega's POV
I faced my team. I was still wearing the 'BETRAYED' shirt and the skinny jeans. I was also wearing black combat boots, loosely wearing my cloak to hide my scars. In other words, I was looking awesome. "I may have not been entirely honest to you..." I began slowly, awkwardly before I was rudely interrupted by Luke. "May have? Why is everyone guilty-looking whenever they look at you? Why did everyone seem so surprised at your true identity? I want answers, and I want them now." Luke ranted furiously. I waved my hand at him almost dismissively, as if I could simply wave away the questions- and the memories that were ambushing me.
Ha. I wish. I cleared my throat importantly, but I was really stalling for time, not making sure that I had everyone's attention. I didn't want to be pulled into the memories- not now, not ever. "Well, before I was rudely interrupted, I was about to ask if anyone had any questions. Since Luke over here has some, let's start with his. 1: Yes, I didn't tell you the full story of why I was in the army, not at camp. That was being "not entirely truthful", to those of you who are slightly brain-damaged *cough* Luke *cough*. 2: Because of some lies, I was wrongly accused of treason and betrayed. 3: Because they thought I was dead." I said in a emotionless voice.
My team took this in, but then Luke realized what I just said. "Hey! I'm not brain-damaged!" He yelled at me. I raised an eyebrow at him coolly, and simply said, "I never said you were, but I did suggest it." The son of Hermes crossed his arms with a huff and pouted. "Crybaby." I teased him halfheartedly. "No more questions? Okay, now good-bye." I said in a rush, and spun around and headed towards the door. Just as my hand touched the golden doorknob, Silena spoke. "That's not the whole story, is it?" She whispered, using her charmspeak. "No, it isn't, and you're not going to hear it right now." I agreed, a hint of venom in my voice.
"Omega, you need to tell the truth. We follow you because of who you once were. We trust you because of who you once were. So please, reward out trust by telling us why you have changed." Silena begged, her voice richer and more insistent. Her charmspeak was so strong I almost gave in. Almost. I paused, pretending that the charmspeak was actually affecting me just to get their hopes up. Then I coldly dropped the act (in a way that would make it obvious that I had been acting) when a look of pure triumph began to spread across Silena's face. "It's not going to be that easy to convince me to let go of my past and let you know. But nice try. You almost had me. Almost." I growled.
Silena was still furious- she thought that she could always get her way with the new power that Chaos had given her, and furious that she had been cheated of an answer. "Then why? Are you such a coward that you can't even tell us?!" Silena shrieked. Silence. I began to crack. Storm cursed. That stupid little girl un-stabilized you! He howled, and I cracked a little more. That was when I knew. If I didn't spill the beans, it was going to completely unhinge me. Snap what was left of my mind. Stomp the remaining shreds of my heart, and powder the shreds up. The solitary pain would literally kill me if I didn't tell my team. I was a spiderweb of broken glass by now. Soon, I would shatter.
