Betrayed and Alone

The Plan is Revealed (Part 2) Big O's POV

"The rest of the team was distracting the camp while I was setting up bombs to completely destroy this camp." Leo said. I narrowed my eyes and sent a MM to Spike to find the bombs and disable them. "You mean that your oh-so-amazing plan was to DESTROY the camp that we were sent to PROTECT?!" I yelled at my team. They looked angry. "We refuse to help this camp!" Luke yelled.

I narrowed my eyes. They were going to force me to give them a order that will bind them to whatever has to be protected. I took a deep breath. "I, Commander of Chaos' Army, bind my Elite Team to this camp, Camp Half-Blood, so that they will protect it instead of destroy it during this mission. Their ranks and immortality are on the line." I boomed. Lightning crackled from me and struck my team.

Then the lightning went outside and struck the ground of Camp Half-Blood. My team fell with a cry of pain as the temporary curse bound their rank and immortality to the flaming camp. When they got back up, betrayal was flashing in their eyes. Pain was etched into every feature. I didn't want to force them to protect this camp, but they made me.

I gritted my teeth to stop myself from apologizing to my team. I was exhausted, nearly all of my strength and energy was drained. Sometimes I wonder why I became Commander, agreed to the position. Because sometimes I hate doing what has to be done. I freed Leo and staggered up to my room. Even Storm was exhausted by the amount of power and authority I had to use to make the curse.

I threw myself onto my bed, reminding myself that in order to keep my team disciplined, I had to dish out punishments. My team would protect the camp unwillingly, but at least they had to protect it. Spike MMed me that all bombs were found and disabled.

I gave him a "thanks" and found myself closing my eyes. A little sleep wouldn't hurt, would it? Besides, after all this stress of coming back here and being revealed, I definitely deserved some sleep. I let sleep claim me.
