Run for your life, my love
Run and you don't give up
It's all that you are
All that you want
I will be close behind
Run for your life
The Fray is playing in the background as I lay in bed, staring at the white ugly celling of my room. I raise my hand, until it's in sight, and shake it. The charms jiggle leaving a soothing song behind. A smile is plastered to my face as I remember him. I don't know how to explain it but he's perfect.
I remember our third date. He took me on a picnic in a park. Well, he didn't actually. It was raining that day so we stuck to sitting in his car, eating the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches he made.
"You've got some-," he points to his fingers then mine, "some peanut butter on your nose."
I frown, feeling embarrassed. I raise my hand immediately to wipe it but Adam stops me.
"Here," he reaches his thumb and wipes it off as his hand cups my cheek. We both grin from ear to ear. He then wipes it on my mouth, leaving a smudge. I gasp.
"What was that for?" I pout.
His grin stretches as he backs away his seat and holds me by the waist, lifting me on his lap. I gulp down the nervousness in my stomach.
"I'm still starving for some peanut butter," he leans in. His warm kiss send shivers all over my body. He licks the peanut butter from my mouth as he hums. I grab his hair, as his hand stroke my neck, deepening the kiss. He breaks the contact, and I'm left panting for more.
"But now I'm starving for you." His eyes widen with hunger for more, for me. I feel my cheeks blush as I turn my face away.
"Baby," his voice is deep. His voice is sexy. "There's no reason to hide. After all, I'm yours," he gently turns my face to look at him. I meet his green eyes, and fall deeper.
"I'm yours," he mouthes. My heart melts. I lean in, planting a kiss on his neck, on the spot that I know drives him crazy.
I feel him stiffen underneath me. He grabs my waist, planting me directly on him. I moan as he rubs his hardness on me.
"Adam-"
His mouth plants small kisses on my body as he teases me. Finally, his mouth reaches mine. We both kiss with so much aching hunger that in a second, I'm lost within him. He bites and licks as he provokes my body.
"I love you," he says as he lays his forehead onto mine. We both are breathing heavily.
"I love you," I whisper and I feel his body relax.
I lay there, my head on his chest, listening to his relaxing heartbeats. His arms are wrapped around me, and I feel him inhaling my scent, and afterward planting a kiss on my forehead.
I remember everything because- "Lesley?"
My thoughts are interrupted as Harry creeps on my bedroom door. I sit up.
"Hey, Harry." I offer a weak smile. "Is everything all right?"
"Yeh, yeh," he rolls his eyes.
"Mom just sent me to check up on you. She says you've been off for some time now," he says as he adjust himself on my bed.
"Don't worry about me," I mess up his hair as I shake it. He frowns.
"Not cool," he attempts to fix his hair back. I laugh at his annoyance.
"So.." I clear my throat, "how's Valerie?" I jiggle my eyebrows at him as I wink.
"Oh, screw you!" He gets off from my bed and heads to the door. God, he's adorable.
"Harry, I was just kidding," I yell to him as he slams the door shut. I debate over going after him to apologise but sisters are made to be annoying. So I let it go.
I lay back in bed, thinking about our date.
"You know, you're so cute when you blush," he says. I feel my cheeks heat up. He looks at me amused, as he laughs at my reaction.
I arch an eyebrow, "you sure about that?"
"Positive," he smirks.
I clear my throat, "You know, you're so cute when you're weak."
His eyes widen as he chuckles. "I'm never weak, babe," he argues back.
Challenge accepted, I think to myself. I lean in, and collapse my lips to his. I bit, lick and tease and I feel him go weak under me. I immediately break the kiss before I go weak as well.
I trace his cheek to his mouth with my finger as a smile is plastered to my face, "Well, are you sure about that?"
He looks shocked and utterly speechless. I bite my lips to hold back a laugh but burst when his gaze never leave my lips, asking for more.
I feel him relax as he smirks. His hand reaches my waist and he starts tickling me.
"NOO!" I struggle to slither from his grip, too weak to move but only to laugh. I fleetingly lose control over my body and try to wriggle.
"Who's laughing now?" He imitates an evil laugh. Yes, he won.
My stomach starts hurting. "Adam, please," I beg. I accidentally hit his shoulder but he seems untouched.
He finally let's go as he takes me into a hug. I feel my body relax as I struggle to catch my breath.
And I feel like the aching inside of me burst. Tears stroll down my cheeks as they hit my pillow.
I need to see him.
But I can't. I need a distraction before I show up at his place. Because when it comes to Adam, I have no control over my actions.
I dial Megan. Once, twice,.. And she doesn't answer. I groan, frustrated. Where is she when I need her? Probably with Jeremy.
No. I can't think of this now. Who else can I call? Realization hits me. I have no one.
I never looked into making a bunch of friends. All I needed in life was a couple of friends who are close and loyal to me. I never had a friend specifically made for distraction. Shit.
I'm going to call him. Because why not?
The phone rings and he answers on the third beep.
"Hello?" he says.
I inhale, "Hey, spence. Are you up to hanging out?" I exhale.
