The beat of the music is pumping in my veins as I surrender to it. Spencer seems to be enjoying himself, too. I eye Adam from the corner of my eye, but he still didn't notice me. I feel stupid again so I stop dancing.

"It's not working," I yell over the music.

Spencer looks between Adam and I, then he grins. He takes three steps back. In one quick movement, he grabs my hand and yanks me towards him, with the other hand he circles my narrow waist. My body spins until I'm face to face with Spencer. He bows me on my back as I raise a leg up seductively; just like I learned.

"You know tango?" he asks, shocked.

I smile, "I have been dancing my whole life."

"Then, we are about to make a show," he smirks following a wink.

I giggle because I know all eyes will turn on us in a second. I follow his moves as we twist our hips while our chest stay intact. Our hands are locked on the side, and I arch my back, while I criss cross my legs. We playfully dance, following the passion of the beat. I could feel the click of my heels on the floor and the flare movement of my skirt. I haven't noticed the music changed into a tango song until I saw everyone circling us, all eyes on us. I grin automatically. I was right.

Spencer takes me off by surprise as he lifts me from my waist and swings me off his shoulder and sides. I adjust in a second, and aid him with his moves. I hear Ohh and Ahh from our surrounding as people cheer for us. After several technical and rapid moves, we stop and bow down.

People are clapping, applauding for us! My grin reaches my eyes, and so does Spencer.

He grabs me by my waist as he brings me closer to him. "You were amazing," he whispers.

"You weren't so bad yourself, too," I reply as we both burst to laughter.

My smile fades as I spot Adam. He's wearing his usual black. His hair has gone longer as it covers a bit of his eyes. I see hurt and pain as his beautiful eyes widen with disbelief. My mouth drops, speechless. I didn't consider the outcome of my actions. I may have been enjoying myself back then, but he must have been dying slowly and slowly. If tables were turned, I know that I would. My heart aches to the sight of his wounded figure.

Adam, I'm so sorry.

But then I remember the way he allowed her devilish red fingers to trace him and my blood boils with anger.

I follow Adam's gaze as it narrows on Spencer. I see his jaw tense as his eyes flash and close into slits. His fist is clenched as he charges on Spencer immediately. Adam punches Spencer's face making him fly three steps back. Spencer adjust himself with the concrete floor as he blows a fist into Adam's direction while blood forms on the side of his cheek. Adam dodges his blow and grabs his fist while he painfully twist it, making Spencer bend on his knees. With a sudden movement, Spencer inhales and grabs Adam's hand with the other as he yanks him backward and elbows his face. A split on Adam's downward lip starts pouring blood.

I'm literally mortified as my legs are stuck in cement. I can't move nor breath. The crowd is hooting: fight, fight, fight. I'm determined not the give them a show. I witness Adam attack again and my reaction is to stand in front of Spencer, making Adam stop in his tracks. I'm face to face with Adam and I feel his warm breath crawl on my skin.

I miss his familiar warmth.

"If you hurt him, you hurt me!" I yell at Adam. His eyes lock in mine and I feel my heart shatter. At this moment, the world stopped and it was just me and him. I drown in his paradise green eyes. And he is drowned in mine. His face falls, as hurt and betrayal take over the anger. After what feels like eternity, he slowly retracts his fist to his side.

Riley speeds his way to us as he takes Spencer into a hug. I hear Riley apologising to Spencer. I feel my heart quench with thirst for this love.

Adam gently grabs my hand, slightly and smoothly twisting it to get a better look at the bracelet. Yes, I am wearing it. He keeps staring it as his face goes blank. I would kill to get to know what wanders in his mind.

"You're coming home with me," he orders.

I yank my hand from his grip, "No." His eyes break as if one word scarred him deeply. I hold back my tears. Don't cry, Lesley. Don't cry.

"Take that slut of yours home with you instead," I point to her. I can't believe I just said that.

His eyes madden followed by a smirk that stretches on his face, showing his tiny dimples. "It would be my pleasure," he mouthes.

I feel like I swallowed a thousands of knives. He knows what hurts me painfully and used it as a weapon to torture me. He wants to torture me.

Breath, Lesley. Breath.

I watch as Adam sweeps her off her feet, as he plants a kiss on her mouth, right in front of me. Again.

He takes his leather jacket off as he drapes it around her shoulders. She smiles as she raps it closer to her devilish skin. He then clasps their hands and heads to the door, while she follows through the crowd.

I look around as I observe people returning to what they were doing before- dancing. And I'm left here, ignored, finding heartbreak and misery.

A hand on my shoulder startles me as I turn to see Riley, offering a pity smile.

And I break to tears. I feel Spencer's and Riley's hands grab me as they lead me out of the back door. I trip a few times, blinded by my tears. But thankfully, they have a hard grip on me, saving me. The cold fresh air hits me and I take it in my lungs. I fall on the ground and wheeze heavily. If someone ripped my heart from my chest, it would hurt less.

This agony, this pain is just way too much for one soul to handle.

My shoulders stop shaking as I try to calm myself down:one..two..three..four..five..six..seven..
