5.What risks (that could destroy your social life) have you taken, but ended up being a plus towards a goal?

Well...when I decided to join Volleyball. 2 years ago when I was in 4th grade we were playing soccer for fun then the coach in volleyball spotted me.She told me that I should join volleyball because of my height.Well....I wouldn't want to join because people thought of me before as a drama queen and that I was too girly for it.Still,I joined.Which made people talk about me behind my back saying I am too weak to join volley.So,I still continued until 5th grade and when I joined I...am always the outcast.I am always the substitute.Then when I substitute someone in the first 6 the other teammates would complain.Then if I made a mistake they would scold me like I was....NOTHING.This made me very sad and alone.I feel rejected...that is why at that time I wanted to quit the team and leave them because...what they're making me feel is too much for me to handle.But one day....I just can't quit.It wasn't because my coach didn't allow me,it was because I still had a passion for it.I continued and practiced hard until I improved and I just....never gave up.Now....I'm the team captain.This goes to show that I did one goal...I stood up for what my passion is.That's why you should never give up on your dreams...because it could lead you to something more than you bargained for.^_^
