Maya slumped in her chair at the airport, putting her hat down lower. Maya knew this plan was crazy and might not workout. I mean, running away? But Maya had no choice, she couldn't keep feeling the pain, life throwing her on the ground. She knew that there was some other way to this whole catastrophe, but Maya couldn't think of it.
"Flight 66 to California is boarding. Attention passengers, flight 66 to California is boarding."
Maya smiled, getting up, she had a good thing to look at. She always wanted to go to California, it was her dream vacation. Maya always loved the palm trees, the sandy beach, the sun politely shining on your face. Maya looked around one more time, "Miss, are you ready?," She looked at the flight attendant who greeted her with a warm smile.
"Yeah, I'm ready. It's time for a change."
Maya smiled, she suddenly felt a little relief, she was finally going to be happy.

But Lucas, he wasn't happy. No not at all, it was 10:00, the dance ended an hour ago. Lucas was freaking out, he called Maya's mom, she told him she thought Maya was with him. He then called the school, if they had seen Maya. Finally, he gave up. He sat in his car, a cigarette in his hand. Lucas had a serious smoking addiction before his sister had gotten into coma. Bella was the one who helped him stop smoking. Ever since then, he had promised himself to not touch that killing source.
But now, he needed it more than anything. Now, you may ask why he hasn't gone to the police. You see, Lucas wasn't too keen about the police taking a year trying to find a missing person. He watched Pretty Little Liars with his sister and he kept yelling at the screen why the police don't even have anything yet nor have any clues at all.
So that's out of the question.
Lucas suddenly banged his arm against the steering wheel, "Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck!," He sat there breathless, his head leaning against the wheel, "Maya, please come back," That's all he can keep thinking about, Maya, Maya, Maya. Lucas then cried, knowing he had lost the love of his life.
The funny thing is, he didn't know what love felt like, but now, he knew, and it hurt like hell.
