The waterfall of tears were flowing down Maya's face. Her heart was pounding so loud she could hear it in her ears. The feeling of heartbreak kept coming back every two seconds, causing more tears to come out of her blue hollow eyes. Blue and red lights flashed before her eyes, she couldn't make out the two figures running towards her. But as they got closer, she saw a familiar brunette with her brown eyes full or worry. Alongside her she saw her boyfriend, his face filled with concern.
Riley and Farkle sat by Maya's side as they watched the scene unfold right in front of them. Maya heard talking but drowned out the voices and instead focused on Lucas. He was the only thing on her mind right now and because of her, he may die. Maya let out a heart wrecking sob and buried her face into Riley's shirt.
Maya cried and cried, not giving a damn about the clothes she was going to ruin if she didn't get off the sidewalk. But her crying soon stopped when she felt a tight hand on her arm. She looked up to find a man in a blue suit. He looked at her with a hard expression on his face, "Miss, I'm gonna need you to go with me to check if you have any injuries."
Maya didn't argue. She didn't protest, she didn't react. She simply walked with the police officer. Maya didn't have the energy to fight anymore, she just saw the love of her life possibly die in front of her.

While Lucas was getting checked in the hospital, someone was getting checked out. Doctors and nurses surrounded the patients bed. Everyone around her were desperate to get a pulse. To keep her alive. A doctor took a deep breath in looking at her pale face, "This is all on you now. Live or die."
"Clear!" He yelled and her body jumped from the electric shock.
Nothing.
"Clear!"
Again, nothing.
"Clear!"
Pure silence.
"Clear!"
Everyone waited, but nothing. There was no pulse.
"Name?"
"Bella Friar. Sister of Lucas Friar."

Maya found herself on the hospital bed with her worried mother beside her. Maya bit her lip nervously as the doctor facing them read over his results. "Well, all seems good Ms. Hart. No injuries, no diseases, your all healthy."
"Thank you doctor," Katy held her daughters hand tightly.
"Your welcome, and Ms. Hart, try not to run into any ice cream stands." Maya felt her jaw drop in shock. This was the same doctor she saw on the day she and Lucas met, when he decided to take her to the hospital. She couldn't even recognize him, a lot has changed ever since she met Lucas.
It's like she went on this crazy adventure, and she wasn't sure when it would stop. But her mother decided enough was enough, "Maya, do you realize how much has happened since you met Lucas?"
She didn't say anything.
"I feel that you don't really talk to me anymore Maya. I worry about you and I should. You ran away, made a fake identity, almost got killed, and the list goes on. I want you to talk to me like before-"
This lit the fire inside her that exploded. "What before mom?! It's not my fault that you work day and night! It's not my fault that you spend each day off in your bed and not with me! So yeah mom, there was no before and there will never be one."
Maya hopped off the bed making her way toward the door. Katy watched her daughter walk away, taking in her outburst.
"And I don't regret meeting Lucas at all. I love him, and your just going to have to accept that mom."
Maya shut the door behind her. Not only did she just shut a door, she probably shut her mom off too. As she walking down the sanitary halls of the hospital she spotted another door with the name Friar on it.
Bella Friar.
The door was opened just a crack so Maya could hear some of the conversation.
"It's sad, her brother had memory loss."
"He never got a chance to say goodbye."
Goodbye. That word repeated through Maya's head over and over. Goodbye. He never got a chance to say goodbye. Maya wasn't stupid, she put the pieces together and suddenly a feeling of emptiness dawned on her.
"It's sad that she's gone. Her brother got in an accident now this. She's dead..."
Maya couldn't hear anymore of the conversation and bolted out of the hospital. Her breath tried to catch up with her as she ran. Maya kept running and running, knowing it was the only thing she was good at. Running away.
