Maya entered the hospital smelling the same sanitary smell. She saw the same people in the waiting room, with frowns on their faces as usual. She walked to the Information Desk, "Um, hello, I'd like to see Lucas Friar." The lady at the desk started typing away at her keyboard.

Maya looked around and saw the usual colorful pictures down the hall. "Room 201." Maya nodded saying a quiet thank you before making her down the halls. When Maya finally got to Room 201 she took a deep breath, like always. Maya entered the room and saw Lucas laying down like usual, a bandage still wrapped around his head. It was as if the bandage was keeping him from getting his memories back, Maya thought as she took the seat next to Lucas's bed.

"Hey Maya." Lucas gave a little smile. Maya let out a sigh of relief, at least he was showing some emotion to her.

"Hey Lucas, how have you been?"

"Not good, especially since I can't remember anything." Maya nodded deciding not to say anything. It's been two weeks and so far Lucas hasn't made any progress on receiving his memory. If remembering his name and the year he was born counts, but Maya knew that didn't matter. It was awkward silence between the two.

Maya looked down at her white vans. She was slowly losing hope day by day.

What caused Maya to look back up, was a hand holding hers. She then saw it was Lucas's hand. Maya looked at Lucas and and saw a genuine smile come from him. It was all it took to make Maya's heart melt.

"I'm sorry I don't remember you. But I hope I can care for you the way you care about me."

Maya let out a light laugh, "You already do."

After Maya's hospital visit with Lucas she got a call from Riley saying if she wanted to go out to lunch. Maya agreed and was driving down to In'n'Out. She was thankful Riley didn't pick some healthy restaurant.

When Maya walked in she saw was able to spot the brunette. She began to smile as she walked toward Riley, but it soon faltered as she saw another brunette across from her.

Josh.

She couldn't help but stand there looking at him. He was fresh and clean, no one would ever thought he was beat up. "Maya!" Riley soon noticed the blonde and stood up to hug her.

Maya hugged her back ignoring Josh's gaze. "I'd like you to meet Josh. He was kind enough to pay for my food." Maya nodded and sat down next to Riley.

She ignored Riley and Josh's chat and took little bites of her food. She never expected to see Josh again. Maya thought he had already informed the police. But nope here he was, alive and healthy.

"I need to go to the ladies bathroom. I'll leave you two to chat." Riley gave Maya a wink before leaving. Maya immediately knew what she was trying to do. Riley was trying to set her and Josh up. Maya then felt anger bubble inside her.

"Sucks being left, doesn't it?"

Maya looked at Josh who held a stone hard look. She didn't say nothing and kept eating her food. "Look Sabrina, or whatever your name is, I'm not mad. I'm sure you had a good reason."

Maya gave looked at Josh to try to see if he was lying. But his face denied all the reasons. Maya nodded finally, already wanting to go home.

"Maya, it's Maya Hart."

That was the last thing Maya said before leaving a ten dollar bill and walking out the building.
