The next week, everyone was buzzing about homecoming. There were flyers everywhere, people being asked to prom, and voting on homecoming queen and king. Everyone was happy, all expect Missy Bradford. She noticed how Maya was more happy, since she met Lucas, and Missy hated that.

You see, Missy played the field, dating boys from left to right, but even a player can get lonely. Missy knew her plan was wrong and cruel, but anything made her happy if it made Maya Hart suffer in pain. Missy waited for Lucas to stop by his locker, she saw him open his locker, walking down the hall.

She took this moment to grab his arm, and pull him into the janitors closet, "What the hell!?," Missy turned the light on and Lucas widened his eyes, "Missy! What the hell do you want!?."

"To make you, Lucas Friar, the most beloved boyfriend ever, make Maya Hart suffer," Missy spoke her words with venom in them, "Yeah, not happening. Unlike you, I actually love her, something you don't understand."

Missy suddenly lashed out, "Don't tell me what I fucking feel! I know what love is! I know for sure love isn't when your drunk father gets your sister into coma!"

Lucas widened his eyes, "How do you know about that!?," Missy smirked, having fun with this, "I have connections, and if you don't embarrass Maya in front of homecoming tomorrow, everyone will know about your little secret."

Lucas suddenly laughed, "You really think I'm that stupid? I would risk my reputation, face it Missy, your little plan won't work," Missy smirked, not being fazed at all by Lucas's words, "I knew you would say that, that's why I have plan B. Your father put one of your love ones in coma, he can do it again, to Maya."

Lucas froze, he knew what he had to do. He would never risk Maya getting hurt, he loved that girl, "Fine," Missy smiled, she was finally getting what she wanted.

-

Maya smiled, seeing Lucas by his locker. She was happy, she had someone who cared for her. She walked over to Lucas, "Hey, boyfriend. That's what couples say, don't they."

Lucas smiled at Maya, he wanted to enjoy his time with her, just one day will do it. Lucas could just see Maya's face and his mood would brighten up.

"Hey girlfriend," He kissed Maya on the lips, feeling the same fiery feeling, "So, the homecoming dance is coming up," Maya smiled, she never been to any dance, but this time, she was going to have a great time, she hoped.

"Yeah, and that means dancing, drinking, and some more dancing," Maya laughed at Lucas's joke and Lucas smiled. The bell rang and everyone stopped talking to their friends, scurrying off to their next class, "Hey, I'll see you later at lunch," Lucas kissed Maya goodbye, leaving her by herself.

Maya sighed, she had hoped Lucas would ask her to the dance, maybe not.

-

Lucas smiled, he held the red roses in his hand. Lucas had planned asking Maya out, the right way. He wanted to make Maya's first dance special, after all it would be the last one he would take her out to. Maya sighed, walking to her locker, she opened her locker, a note falling out of it. She bent down and picked it up,

Hey Blonde Beauty, go to the courtyard for lunch, I have a big surprise there. I love you clutterbucket!

Maya smiled at the note, remembering how she told Lucas her fathers last name. She stuffed her textbooks in her locker, hurrying down to the courtyard.

-

Maya walked into the courtyard, "Hello, Lucas," She finally saw the roses next to her feet, she saw another note and picked it up,

Now follow the red roses.

Maya started to follow the roses, she got closer and closer the the end. She stopped walking when she saw Lucas, holding a bunch of red roses, and a bunch of Lucas's friends. The boys all opened up their shirts, Maya closed her eyes, not wanting to see the boys shirtless, "Don't worry Maya, they have tank tops on."

Maya opened her eyes, smiling at Lucas, reading the words, "Will. . .you. . .go. . .to homecoming with me?" Maya suddenly jumped in to Lucas's arms, "Yes!" They both kissed, Lucas's friends clapping at the two love birds in front of them.
