After Tessa's show of whatever it was, she showed the intruder in the shadows, he told us everything that he seemed to know. His boss had sent him to retrieve any information he could get on me and my siblings, but he didn't know why his boss wanted the information. That was all we were getting out of him, so we sent him on his way to the police station.
"I thought I told you to get your sisters out of the house, Jessie." Dad said a bit annoyed.
"He could have killed you!" I replied annoyed myself.
"He could have killed you three!"
"We know how to handle ourselves, dad." Izzy said.
"'Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind.'" Tessa said.
"You got that from Stitch!" Izzy said.
"So? The quote works with the argument."
We all couldn't help but laugh at that. Tessa had this talent to stop arguments it seemed, just by opening her mouth. We settled the argument rather quickly after that. Dad thought it would be best if only two of us were the ones who went to find our first brother. Tessa, Izzy, and I had a discussion that didn't last too long, because the two of them had already made up their minds that I was going with dad.
"You're the one who started the whole thing, and you should finish with dad." They both said.
"What about you two?? Are you sure you want to stay here??" I asked.
"We're good. We've got each other's backs."
It didn't seem that I was going to be able to argue with them, so I went along with it.
