Once the door closed behind Amelia, I charged forward slamming my fist of fire into the door. It didn't budge under the force. In defeat I turned around to face the others, still raging with anger. All of their eyes widened in shock at the sight of my eyes.

"Jess, what's up with your eyes?" Jem asked.

"What?" I asked.

Izzy turned to the back wall and iced it over to make a mirror. I got close enough so I could see my eyes, but subsequently melted the ice with the heat of my arm. I had just enough time to I see my eyes, I stepped back in shock. At both my melting of the mice and the state of my eyes. My anger started to dwindle and disappear. As my anger diminished, the fire started to go out in my left eye. Once that fire was out, I had one hazel and one red-orange eye with a small flame in the pupil. I turned back to the others.

"They changed again." Tess said.

"Yea, and I think my eyes are going to stay this way." I replied.

I noticed that my arm was still blazing from my shoulder. It extinguished itself quickly, and the temperature in the room started cooling down almost instantly. I looked around the room trying to figure out a way out.

"We need to get out." I said.

"Agreed, but how?" Izzy said.

"That is a very good question." I replied. "Tess, Jem. Take a look at the future. Find a way to get out of here."

The twins looked at each other like they were annoyed that they had to hold hands again. But they reluctantly took each other's hands, and their eyes clouded over. Their eyes moved from side to side in sync as if they were searching for something. I guessed they were searching through the layers of the future looking for the right moment to tell us about. They came out of their "trance", and this time each of their right eyes were gray, the color their eyes turn when they look into the future.

"Tess, Jem. Both of your right eyes are gray." Will said.

Izzy froze the wall into another mirror, so they could look and see for themselves. They didn't seem surprised about it at all. They must have seen it in the future when they were searching for a way out.

"On another note, we know how to get out." Tess said.
