LIZZ MAYBERRY POV

After I stormed out of the Ryder's house, hell bent on revenge, I discovered a note on my kitchen counter. It read:

Hey, little sis!

I decided I was going to stay at George's house tonight. Be back tommorrow.

Love you later,

Ben

P.S. I don't really love you

P.P.S I'm the favorite child

Getting out of the house. Smart boy. George was one of his best friends from elementary school before we moved to Colorado. He was also one of the most socially awkward people I knew. My problem is that I can't talk about George without snickering because all I can think of is Curious George the monkey. Then I see George in a monkey suit with a big yellow hat and then I just loose it, man. That's when I loose it.

I sighed and decided to just go to bed.

Wednesday

My obnoxious alarm woke me up, like always, at 7:00 am. I took a shower and went to my closet to pick out clothes. It was cold today, supprising for summer. But this is Wisconsin. It's completely unpredictable. I decided on my black skinny jeans and a purple tanktop with some white sequined lines coming down vertically from the top. I put on a light-weight black cardigan and some black ballet flats.

I walked into the kitchen and saw the man of the hour. "Ben!" I said in a sickly sweet voice, "You're back."

"Yeah, George had to go to work. Madeline is coming today!" He exclaimed. I grinned, I was excited too. "I miss her so much!"

"Yeah, me too. When is her flight coming in?"

"Well I got her a flight in on my company's helecopter. It should arrive around 2:00 in the afternoon."

"Too bad you might not still be alive by then," I said absentmindedly.

"Wha-" he started, but then his eyes got a mile wide and he gulped loudly, "You saw the video,"

I just nodded and put a sickly sweet smile on my face again. This should be fun. Harry and I decided during a 3:00 AM phone conversation last night that the best revenge was not getting revenge. It would be more satisfying to see him watching his every move, afraid I was going to prank him. He'll be completley paranoid. I smirked. We were so nice we were completely evil.

I left him frozen at the kitchen island in my and made my way to the bathroom. I pursed my lips as I looked at myself in the mirror. I parted my hair to the side like I always do, and decided to just let it air dry, allowing it to form into it's natural curls while it dries.

I stared at my reflection for a few more minutes. I'm not very pretty. I leaned forward so my face is right in front of the mirror. I studied my features for a few more seconds before I returned to a normal standing position. Well there isn't much I can do. It isn't that I don't wear makeup because I hate it, but applying it would require awaking earlier in the morning and I value sleep more than my family. Okay. maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration. Only more than Ben.

I walked back into the kitchen to find Ben gone. I decided to make myself pancakes since it was only 7:15. I plugged my iPod into a set of portable speakers as I got out the pancake mix and chocolate chips. I listened to my Wake Up playlist as I made breakfast for myself with some leftovers for Ben. He'll be wondering what kind of poison I slipped into them, and I'll laugh.
