LIZZ MAYBERRY POV
Today was the day we left for Colorado, and then for London for the Olympics. I couldn't contain my excitement. I had been squealing for about 48 hours now. Harry was close to straight slapping me.
"Got everything?" Harry asked as I locked the door and walked to the car in the driveway, Harry following closely behind.
Mr. Ryder was standing around the corner, helping pack the minivan with my and Harry's suitcases. Their children, the ones I nanny, were running around my front yard. Mr. Ryder was taking us to the airport so we wouldn't have to leave a car there.
"Ready to rock?" Mr. Ryder asked while getting into the fdriver's seat.
"Just about," I said as I turned to hug each of the three children. I saw Mrs. Ryder hug her nephew and tell him to say hi to her sister for her. He nodded and they had a hushed conversation, but I couldn't hear because Claire was telling me that pandas were not actually real. After convincing her they were, I got off my knees to hug Mrs. Ryder.
"Are you sure you are okay with me just leaving you guys for a few weeks?" I asked for the hundredth time as I embraced the woman that became a second mother of sorts.
"Live your dream, honey. I'm so proud of you," she whispered as she kissed my cheek. I pulled back to see she was tearing up.
"Why are you crying?" I laughed quietly. She patted under her eyes.
"I'm just so happy to see you truely happy again after the accident," she smiled and I hugged her again. Mr. Ryder beeped the car horn and Mrs. Ryder gave him a dirty look, but as I climbed into the back seat of the minivan, I saw them share "I love yous" and it was adorable. Harry looked at me from the passenger seat and pretended to swoon. I swatted his face away.
HARRY STYLES
We were landing in Denver in five minutes. I have never been this nervous in my life. What if her family and friends didn't like me?
Next to me Lizz was looking out the plane window. We had flipped a coin for the window seat and I lost. Well, technically I won, but she looked so dejected once the coin showed heads, I casually flipped it over to tails and gave in.
"Stay with me now because this airport is huge," Lizz said after we got our bags. We were now rolling our belongings along with us to a car rental counter.
"Which one should we get?" I asked, pointing st the laminated sheet displaying the options.
"Clearly we should get that one!" She pointed with her eyes close. It was a Voltzwagon Bug. Bright pink.
"I think you did that on purpose," I frowned. She shrugged. I groaned. "You don't even like pink!" I grumbled as I followed her and the car rental lady to the bug.
"It's perfect," Lizz breathed.
"It will hardly fit all of our stuff," I sighed as the lady left, her heels clinking annoyingly on the cement ground.
"It's called adventure, Harry, ever heard of it?" Lizz asked lamely, holding her palm out to me. I glossed her the keys and she sat in the driver's seat, turning on the car and getting the air conditioning going. I opened the boot of the bug and surveyed it. I didn't have much to work with.
"It's called logistics, Lizz, ever heard of it?" I replied. There was no way this would fit.
"Watch and learn." Lizz piled, shoved, fitted, and yanked, and finally, it fit. While I stood behind her twiddling my thumbs. I felt marginally bad. "Okay," she huffed and flipped her hair over her shoulder, "Let's go." I nodded and hopped into the passenger seat and her in he drivers seat.
