HARRY STYLES POV
"Have you ever ridden a horse before?" Lizz asked me as we led the horses out of the stable and onto a secluded trail she claimed she knew like the back of her hand.
"Did the Egyptians build the Great Pyramids?" I mused and she rolled her eyes. "Does Susan Boyle make music sound like heaven?" I said the last word very oddly and Lizz burst into laughter.
"I'll take that as a yes." After ten minutes of amiable silence I asked, "What is something you have never told anyone before?"
"Well there are lots of things I don't tell people," I said quietly. "But there is nothing I don't tell you. You know absolutley everything there is to know about me. You know about every girl I have ever had an insignificant little crush on. You know about every vacation I have gone on with my family. You know the meaning and story behind every one of my tattoos. You know the real reason I like beans more than soup. You know extensively about my particular distaste for Ryan Gosling-"
"You are jealous of his abs, Harry. Just admit it!"
"It isn't his abs, Lizz." Lizz gave me a disbelieving look. "Okay, so maybe a little of it is his abs."
"All of it is his abs."
"But the point here is," I started in a strained voice. I blame it on Gosling. He stresses me out. "There is nothing left to tell you that I haven't already said."
She sighed and looked over at me, riding the huge horse next to her. I smiled at what we must look like. Two tally and skinny teenagers riding the two biggest horses on the ranch.
"Tell me about being on stage again," she said softly as I looked dramatically towards the midday sun and immediately regretted it because why would I look directly at the sun, beats me.
I smiled. This was one of my favorite things to talk about. "That is part of the reason I am so excited for you to come to the Olympics. The atmosphere is incredible. And to be there with four of my best mates makes it even better. They are hilarious. And they keep me sane. Louis truely is the sassiest. But Liam always has some sort of snide comment, too. Niall is blissfully unaware of what is happening at any given time. Zayn is stunned by life. Like a deer in headlights. He is amazed by life and life is amazed by him right back. The lad somehow gets everything he wants placed into his lap."
"That's how my brother is. Luckiest man alive."
"Remember how he and you got in that fight with pea pods the first day I met him?" I asked, laughing at the memory.
"It seems like so long ago."
"I think it is funny to think about how many people I have known for years and years, and how they mean almost nothing to me, and how I have know you for a month and a half and you are everything to me," I mused honestly.
"Sometimes it scares me. Like our friendship happened so quickly I sometimes get scared it will end just as fast."
"Don't be ridiculous. You are my zombie killing partner in the event of an apocalypse. That isn't something you joke about and determine willy-nilly."
"That's true, so you'd better not ditch me," she smiled as our horses walked through a field of tall grass, the tips of it brushing against our feet.
"That is quite impossible," I scoffed, smiling at Lizz as Chipmunk lumbered along beneath me. "You are creepy enough to track me down and find me the minute I tried to leave."
