Thursday May 23rd

"Da Mama. So we'll come straight to New York from Michigan We are flying out on Monday. On Tuesday, we'll do interviews, all 3 of us. Then on Wednesday, we'll have a family day. Don't invite everyone though. We don't want to overwhelm her. On Thursday, we will fly back here. Does that sound good?"

"Da Maksim. Calm down and leave your hair alone. Everything is going to be ok."

"You know me so well Mama. I love you. We'll see you soon. I've got to go help Meryl pack as much as we can before Adalyn wakes up."

"Ok. Bye Maks. Love you too. See you soon."

"Bye."

Maks goes to Adalyn's room where Meryl is packing Adalyn's things. Adalyn was napping in their bed. There are clothes all over the floor in piles.

"Wow Princess. That is a lot of clothes."

"Well, we'll be gone for almost a week. Plus, you never know with kids. Some days they go through more then one outfit a day. Oh and what do you think about this dress for interviews?"

"It's beautiful. I love it."

"Good. I think it will work. It's not too fancy but not too casual either. I just want..."

"Meryl, Princess, calm down. Everything is going to be ok. I promise."

"I'm stressing out and the interviews are still days away. I'm trying not to worry about it but I'm not being very successful at that."

"I'm right here baby. You're ok. We're ok. We are going to get through this. I promise."

"Maks, how are people going to react? You know people are going to say bad things about you for not knowing you have a daughter. Oh, they are going to say things about Adalyn. I don't like this Maks! I want to keep her safe Maks. And our little one. I don't know if I can do this."

"Meryl... Meryl. Look at me. You aren't going to do this alone. I'm right here. I always will be." Meryl starts to cry so he holds her close.

"Maks, I need my Mom!" Maks wasn't upset by this. He completely understands. Everything is sinking in and the pregnancy makes the emotions even worse. He doesn't say anything. He just pulls out his phone and calls Cheryl.

"Hello?"

"Mommy!"

"Meryl, baby, what's wrong?" Meryl starts crying even harder.

"She is freaking out about the announcements. Everything finally sunk in I believe."

"Mom...What... what if they say mean things about Maks and Adalyn? I don't know if I can handle it."

"Meryl, honey, listen to me. You are happy right? You are happy with you little family right?"

"Yes. So happy. But..."

"No buts. If you guys are happy, nothing anyone else says matters. Don't worry about what others say or how other feel."

"Mom... I...But... I'll try."

"Remember, you are not alone Meryl."

"You're right Mom. Thank you."

"Your welcome. Now finish packing. I can't wait to see you three tomorrow."

"How did you know we are packing? We didn't tell you?"

"I'm just that good. I know you two so well."

"You sure do. We love you Mom. We'll see you tomorrow. Thanks again Mom."

"I love you too. See you tomorrow."
