What do you mean I have a mate?

I had not long finished getting ready for bed when I heard a knock at my door. I told who ever it was to come in and dad popped his head through the door and said that we needed to talk. That can't be good. Nothing that starts with we need to talk is ever good. I said okay and dad came in and closed the door behind and told me to sit down. Definitely not good.  Once I sat down on my bed he sat down next to me and asked me what all I know about mates? I said that I knew that everyone in the family bar my sister and I had one and that when you do find your mate it feels like nothing on earth and that you can become very protective of that person. My dad gave me a look to say that I was right, but also added that if your is not always who or what you would expect them to be.

I then turned to him once he had finished and asked him what he meant to he replied with just because you are vampire or vampire hybrid it does not necessarily mean that you mate will also be one of them. Okay now I was really confused and I think he could tell as he gave me a sympathetic look and said that I don't know how to tell you this, old me what you had told her and both of us couldn't be happier for you although we thought I would be a couple of years yet before you found yours. I gave him another confused look and with a smile on his face he game a hug and then said you have found your mate and we need to find a way for you two to be together without her being in danger.

I had just finished telling Logan that the reason he could not stop thinking about this girl was because she was his mate. All he said was "what do you mean I have a mate?" To which I replied with this girl who is your singer is also your mate. Then I left the room to let all this new information sink in and as I exiting his room I turned round and said if he wants or need to speak to me about any of this, then he knows where to find me and I closed the door behind me. As I turned to go back down stairs I bumped into Kahlan and Leighsa Marrie. They asked me if everything was okay and what we where going to do with this girl who's blood sings to Logan?

After both my self and Kahlan had bumped into dad and asked him what we're going to to with Logan's situation he told us both to follow him to the family room and then he would gather the rest of the family and we would work something out. So we all headed to the family room.

It has been two hours since we all gathered in the family room to see if we could figer out what to do with this girl. My family and I were also informed that this girl is not only Logan's singer, but is also his mate which just complicated things even more as both my self and Kahlan were filled in on the whole mate thing and how it can become unbearable for someone to be away from their mate for too long and the fact that she was also his singer meant that it would be dangerous for them to be together unless he was able to contain his thirst around her.

It has been a week since the Cullen's, Swan's and Ross Whyte started school and there was something about the youngest one of them. I mean as he entered the biology room he seemed to freeze and then he looked as if he was in pain then a boy called Ross whyte entered the room and asked if the could be excused and the teacher just gave them both a confused look and allowed them to leave the room. I didn't see him for the rest of the week and for some reason I bothered me and I was worried about him. I don't know why, but there was something about his eyes that I couldn't put my finger on. I mean they when from a golden colour to black which I know is imposable as peoples eye colour doesn't change and then there was they way he looked at me. I mean it was scary.

At one point it looked like he was going to eat me or something and I know that was stupid as he wasn't  a vampire. Yes I know all about mythical creatures and all that. I mean I my self am one of them and to be honest at times it was a really pain as bar my family I had no one to talk too as no one was allowed to know about us, which meant making friends or even having a boyfriend was imposable as I would have to keep my families secrets and if I was to have a friend or boyfriend for that matter it would never work as they would know  that I was keeping something from them and in any relationship wither it be friendship or a relationship the bass to a good one is honesty and trust and how could you have that if one of them is keeping a secret.

I was brought out of my thoughts by my mum shouting Amelia if you don't get a move on you will be late for school. I wonder if he would be back today. I hope he will be. I shouted back down that I was already for school and just had to put my books, purse and phone in bag then I would be down stairs. Mind you I don't know why we where shouting to each other as we would of heard each other even by just talking as we where both vampire hybrids. I had the ability to change my sent which was cool and came in really handy. Epically when it came to school as I could make myself smell as if I was a human.

Once I arrived to school I parked my car and seeing as I twenty minutes to spare so I just stayed in the car and looked over my stuff for English as I had a test today. Not that I needed to though as like all vampires and hybrids have a photographic memory. After I put my books away I was about to get out the car when I saw him and the rest of his family. He must of seen as me he froze again, but this time he didn't look as he could kill me which was a relief in it's self.
