How can you forgive those who gave your scars in your heart you can't fix or heal anymore?

"Let us welcome our debutant, Miss Madeline Mayumi Ulanie Dizon!" I walked toward the aisle after the emcee called my name. Ngayon na nga ang araw ng aking kaarawan. Everything around the function hall is gold and white. My parents decided to hold it in our own pool area.

"Turning eighteen tonight, our debutant is known as MUD and with a very young age, she has been awarded as the Youngest Successful Business Woman in the Clothing Industry."

Every eye's set on me. Of course, they will. I am the debutant but that doesn't bothered me at all. I'm looking for my family and hindi ko sila mahanap.

"The Mud Botique was founded back in 2011 and has been constantly giving the people the dress or any fashion they need."

After few minutes, nakita ko silang lahat sa isang table not far from my assigned seat. They waved and smiled at me. This night may not be special for me but it is for my parents.

This day signifies the day kung kailan nila ako nahanap. For me, this is not a day of celebration. Why? Because it is the day also wherein my biological parents died, the day where that tragedy happened.

As I sat in front, nakita ko ang buong hall na napapalamutian ng gold and white. Some girls are looking at me with admiration, some with envy. I'm sure na galing sila sa BLU. Besides everyone from that University is here.

On the left side of the hall, parang nakabukod ang mga VIP guests. They have this red and white corsage na nag sasabing VIP nga sila. I can see Mira and Jane within that side. They smiled at me and I returned a half smile.

I can admit that these two ladies changed me. I'm still the same Mayumi Madeline who's the Empress of BLU, same Yumi who's the heartbreaker and same Ayu of the Dizon family. But deep inside, alam ko na may nagbago.

I can easily smile now. I can easily tell stories in front of them. I can feel myself slowly opening it's door for my friends. I'm happy with that. We can't hold onto things or feelings forever. Sometimes, we'll need to let go and enjoy life.

"For now, let's give our debutant some time to rest and while the rest is preparing for our 18th roses, all be entertained as the Tazmania perform their short play."

On that cue, bumalik na ako sa kwarto ko to change my gown. From gold and white, nagpalit ako sa isang white and black ball gown. It's design were very intricate. It's a white gown embedded with mini black flowers that was put on the gown like falling snows. Simplet yet elegant.

I was about to leave my room when I noticed a blue rose lying on my bed. My bed is white and madali kong napansin ang blue rose dahil iyon lang naman ang nasa kama ko. Maybe I didn't noticed it earlier dahil nadaganan ng dress ko. I picked up the rose and saw a paper rolled tied to its stem. I opened it and saw a note.

Madeline,

It's your 18th birthday. Happy Birthday to the lady who gave me reason to be eager at my classes. The sole reason why I'm inspired to be active in class and the reason which made me to be attentive in everything. Happy Birthday my Goddess. My gift for you? It will be revealed later. Enjoy your night.

I closed the paper and put the rose at my vanity table. Ewan ko ba. I feel lighter nang mabasa ko ang note. I heard a knock on my door so I glanced at the mirror for the last time and went out of the room.

"1st rose, the owner of Blood Love University and the father of our debutant, Marcos Dizon." Binigay naman ng kasayaw ko ngayon yung kamay ko kay Daddy. Dad gave me a peck on my cheeks and the white rose.
