Tap, tap, tap. I tapped my pencil on my wooden desk. The noise so faint it didn't disturb anyone in the classroom. The room was silent, no student dared to say a word. I stared down at my paper. Thinking hard on the question.

The answer came to my mind and I quickly wrote it down. I turned my head and gazed up at the clock. 2:27, three minutes. As I had turned my head, a strand of my brown hair fell into my face. I pushed the strand back and grabbed my bag and pulled it closer to my desk. The students began to notice the time as well as my teacher.

The class began to erupt into conversations and laughter as they grabbed their bags. 2:29, one minute. I grabbed my chair and placed it on top of my my desk and grabbed my red backpack. A loud noise rang through my ears. I pulled my bag onto my back and walked out of the classroom. I could faintly hear my math teacher saying something but I didn't listen.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned my head. A girl was by my side. She was Olivia, my best friend. She was only a few inches taller than me and was thin. She always wore a green beanie over her curly black hair which she usually held up in pigtails. Olivia wore a white button up shirt with a red vest over the top.

"Hey, Jesse" she greeted me with a smile. In her hand she held a violet colored book that looked in perfect condition.

"Hey, Olivia" I replied, smiling back. She opened the doors and we exited the school.

"Well, well, It's the losers" a voice made me and Olivia turn our heads. It was Aiden who spoke, beside him stood Maya and Gill. Aiden was about the same height as me and Olivia but was a lot more muscular and confident. He had brown hair that was slicked back and heavily coated with hairspray. He wore a green t-shirt and black leather jacket over it. He had piercing green eyes and a face covered in freckles.

Maya was a short girl who had a round face and dull brown eyes and short light brown hair held in place by a barrette. She wore a red t-shirt and over it the same jacket Aiden wore. Gill was a tall, lengthy boy with black hair and hazel eyes. He wore a blue t-shirt and once again the same leather jacket.

"Hello, Aiden," Olivia began "come to be a jackass to us some more?" Aiden's eyes narrowed. He began to walk towards us.

"Did you just call me a-" a hand fell onto Aiden's shoulder. It was Lukas. Lukas was the tallest of Aiden's group. He had blonde hair that was slicked back similarly to Aiden's, however there was less hairspray in it. He wore a white shirt with white stripes (or it could've been red with white stripes) and the leather jacket,

"Let's go, Aiden" Lukas told him. Aiden pulled himself away from Lukas's grip. He turned around and the four walked away.

"He is such an asshole" I narrowed my eyes.

"I know right? Can't he just be nice for once?" Olivia responded, scratching her head.

"Well I guess some people don't work that way" another familiar voice. It was Petra, another one of my friends. She was extremely tall, taller than Lukas and had short red hair and was wearing a blue hoodie.

"Well, I mean you're not wrong," Olivia crossed her arms "but he's still an asshole"

"Okay, who were you talking about again, reminder I just got here" Petra placed her hand on her hip and began walking.

"Right, we're talking about Aiden" Olivia told Petra.

"Ahh, I see, just making sure" Petra replied, they approached their buses. "Welp, I gotta go, see ya'!" me and Olivia both waved goodbye and we got onto our bus. We sat down in the first empty seat we could find.

"So, Olivia, I have good news" I told her.

"What?" Olivia asked, crossing her legs.

"I pulled some strings and..."

"And what?"

"I got it!" I exclaimed and Olivia gasped excitedly.

"Really? You're being serious, right?" she questioned, raising her eyebrow.

"Yep" I replied, smiling.

"How were you able to get it?" the asked.

"I offered to do extra chores, it was easy enough" I responded, sounding proud of myself (which I was), Olivia chuckled.

We got back to my house a few minutes later. We swung open the door and raced into my room. I grabbed my laptop and sat down on my bed, Olivia sat down as well. I opened the computer and there it was. The game I worked so hard to get. Minecraft. I clicked on the small blocky icon and my screen began to glow, brighter and brighter.

"Uh... Jesse?" there was a blinding flash and the two were gone.
