"I'm going after Lukas by myself" I told them. They all looked at me in slight shock.

"By yourself? Are you sure, Jesse?" Petra Questioned

"Yeah," I told her "the rest of you, go get Gabriel."

"We're on it, Jesse" Olivia said.

"We'll figure out a way to warn Gabriel and then we'll meet you back here" Petra told me.

"Lets crash this party" Axel said.

"I'll be back as soon as I can" I told them.

"Be careful" Petra told me and they ran into the crowd. I ran back to the door and opened it with Reuben following me.

"Here goes nothing" I sighed and slowly opened the the door with a creak and entered the basement again. Me and Reuben tiptoed down the stairs and peeked around the corner to see the Iron Golem barely a yard away from where they stood and then it stomped away, allowing me to quickly get into the maze of books that I wished to never enter again.

"Lukas?" I whispered "can you hear me? Even though i'm whispering?" as I tip-toed through the library.

"Jesse? Is that you whispering super loudly?" Lukas poked is head out from a chest.

"Lukas! Over here!" I whispered but the golem came back, I ducked down behind a bookshelf while Lukas continued to hide in the chest. The golem walked away. "You okay?"

"Eh, I've been worse" Lukas breathed "well I can't say this is the best spot I've ever been in."

"Just...run"I told him.

"Run where?" Lukas asked "you don't think I've tried that already?" I grabbed a potion and then threw it at the golem. It turned it's head towards me, Reuben squealed, getting its attention. Lukas leaped out of the chest and Reuben ran after him and I followed.

"Nice one, Reuben!" I exclaimed.

"Okay Jesse. Come on! Let's go!" Lukas called. "Thanks for coming back for me. I didn't know if anybody was going to."

"No man left behind. Thats' my motto" I replied.

"Guess I owe you one" Lukas smiled at me. We left the basement, hearing Axel's voice.

"Dude. I dunno how I can be any clearer! Weird guy! Doing weird stuff! Freaky with a side of strange! Why won't you listen to me?" Axel asked Gabriel. "What do you wan't me to do? Tell you charades-style?"

"I promise you, that's the last thing I want you to do" Gabriel told Axel.

"Four words; Six syllables; sounds like... "schmonster in the schmasement" Axel didn't listen to Gabriel.

"Next" Gabriel groaned, he looked down at Axel, he looked a little tired.

"Wait... just-"

"I have a question for you" a voice called, interrupting Olivia.

"Excuse me, sir, you'll have to wait your turn" Gabriel told the man.

"Just tell me first: do you really believe anyone can be great?" he asked as he pushed through the crowd.

"With enough hard work, yes" Gabriel replied

"Was that where I went wrong? I simply didn't work hard enough?!" it was Ivor.

"Ivor?" Gabriel looking in shock at Ivor "is that really you? How dare you interrupt like this!"

"How do you know who he is?" I asked"

"I don't know if I ever really knew him, but what I did know, I didn't like" Gabriel narrowed his eyes at Ivor.

"The feeling is entirely mutual, why don't you tell them the real story, Gabriel?!" Ivor shouted at Gabriel.

"I see time has made you bitter" Gabriel said to Ivor.

"And it's made you an even bigger fool" Ivor glared at Gabriel with his brown eyes. "Now, these people were promised greatness, and i'm ready to deliver!"

"Somebody stop him!" I shouted.

"I'm sorry this is how they had to learn the truth" Ivor said. "Nothing built can last forever, Gabriel."

"Ivor no!" Gabriel cried out as Ivor put the final piece on the Wither structure.
