35 ✣ A Hello and Goodbye

We were in the mine carts for about two minutes when we saw the light of day, or what we could see of it.

"Incoming!" Axel exclaimed. There was a creeper! The creeper blew up and we was flung out of the mine carts.

"There you are!" it was Ellegaard! I looked up at the engineer. She stood right beside Magnus. I then saw Soren hide behind Axel.

"So glad you could make it!" Magnus exclaimed "Could have used you earlier, showing up just in time to hold up the trophy!"

"Why did you leave us?!" I asked, enraged.

"Leave?" Magnus laughed "We're right here!"

"You ditched us!" I exclaimed.

"Uh, we've been fighting this hole time!" Ellegaard replied. There were monsters everywhere. They were all running in the same direction, towards Soren's fortress.

"Uh, whats going on?" Lukas asked.

"You don't have to worry about the monsters, they're running away," Soren said "Worry about what they're running away from." I looked up and saw the Wither Storm.

"I feel like that got bigger" Axel said.

"It did" Olivia replied dryly.

"This is gonna suck..." I groaned.

"Soren?" Ellegaard gaped.

"It's him! I-It's you!" Magnus exclaimed happily. Soren looked at his friends sympathetically.

"Hello... old friends..." Soren approached Ellegaard and Magnus. The Wither Storm growled and Soren looked up at it, fear glimmered in his eyes. "It's time to go!" Soren exclaimed and walked up a small hill. "We only have one shot at this! Remember, once the Formidi Bomb is crafted, it'll explode in a mater of seconds... it means whoever's doing the crafting will be in great danger... I was hoping... perhaps we could draw straws...?" Soren looked at Magnus.

"Don't look at me" Magnus said firmly. He then looked at Ellegaard.

"I think I may have tweaked an ankle earlier, so..." Ellegaard said. I sighed and looked to Soren.

"I'm going to set off the Formidi Bomb..." I told Soren in a murmur. Soren walked over to me and handed me the Super TNT.

"Thats what I was for... the rest of us will build distractions in it's path, hopefully it'll buy you some time" Soren told me.

"You should be ashamed of yourselves!" Petra told Ellegaard and Magnus.

"Jesse... take my armor, it will help" Ellegaard walked forward.

"Nah, you can take mine, it's gotten me out of a lot of jams" Magnus said.

"I insist" Ellegaard narrowed her eyes at Magnus.

"I double insist" Magnus said.

"I triple insist!"

"I... insist four times!"

"Quadruple!"

"Know it all..."

"I never found that insulting."

"I bet you don't know what the fifth one is though"
