Into The Game [FINISHED]

14 ✣ Nether

Me and Lukas collapsed on a red block that we had never seen before.

"Where's Petra?" Axel asked me. Everyone -except for Gabriel and Petra- was safe.

"We did everything we could" Lukas said quietly.

"What are you saying?" Axel asked.

"Jesse! What is he talking about?" Olivia asked frantically.

"It was chaos! There wasn't much I could do" I said in a angered tone.

"Jesse"s right" Lukas said.

"Petra is still up there" I said.

"I got scared... just for a second" Lukas admitted guiltily

"You got scared?" Axel asked in a enraged tone, walking towards Lukas

"It wasn't my fault" Lukas said.

"You got scared and it's not your fault?" Axel was extremely angry with Lukas.

"Back off, Axel" Olivia told him.

"We gotta go back" Axel decided.

"No, we just have to wait, think about what we'd be walking into" Olivia argued.

"We should go back" I agreed with Axel, We needed Petra's strength.

"She just needs more time" Olivia said.

"Petra needs our help, we're going" I told Olivia

"Hey! There she is!" Lukas said enthusiastically. Ivor fell through the portal.

"You again..." Ivor glared at me. A tentacle reached through the portal and then a few moments later, destroyed it. They sat in awe and silence for a few moments.

"Ivor..." I murmured.

"You ruined everything..." he said in a hateful tone. "Don't pretend you don't know, thief. You took my most valuable potion! And what should have been my moment of triumph!" I walked up to him slowly and punched him.

"More needless violence... it solves nothing... learn the lesson now or you'll share Gabriel's fate" he told me. "There's nothing left up there! Nothing but that Wither Storm."

"Why are we wasting time talking to this jerk, we have to go and get Petra" Ivor stopped dead in his tracks.

"The girl... I saw her" Ivor said.

"What?" Lukas gasped.

"While I was running towards the portal I passed her, she was running in the opposite direction, such bravery, of course there's a fine line between bravery and stupidity!" Ivor said. "And your friend has crossed it!"

"Your a coward" I said to Ivor.

"Maybe, but I survived, and that's what counts" Ivor replied

"There's more to life than survival" I told him

"Without survival, there is no life" he responded "through that tunnel is a network of mine cart's built by the Order of the Stone, it's your only way out."

"We should go that way" Axel said, narrowing his eyes at Ivor.

"Times wasting let's go" Lukas reminded everyone. A groaning noise echoed through the lava filled dimension.

"What was that?" Axel asked.

"I would wish you good luck but luck won't carry you through the Nether" Ivor said " you have my sympathies" he drank a potion and poof, he was gone. A Ghast approached them and they began to run. They then ran into a line of mine carts.

"This must be what Ivor was talking about" Olivia said and they quickly hopped into their mine carts.

"Everybody hold on!" I exclaimed. They rode past a never ending sea of lava with Nether Rack and Soul Sand covering the little ground there, and most of the Nether Rack was on fire.

"Wow... the Nether" Lukas gasped.

"Yeah... that's a lot of lava, and fire, and other things that could burn you to death" Olivia said. Reuben squealed.

"Oh no!"

"Oh that's a drop, that is very, very much a drop!" Lukas exclaimed. I put mu hands up in the air.

"Here we go" I smiled, ready for the drop. Axel had his hands in the air while Lukas screamed and Olivia covered her eyes and Reuben just stared in horror. They went into a tunnel where the roof was too low for everyone so everyone had to duck.

"Okay, so I'm not the only one seeing we're running out of track, right?" Axel asked and everyone looked in horror.

"Jesse! Flip the switch! Do it now!" Olivia exclaimed.

"Oh arms don't fail me now" I mumbled to myself and I flipped the switch. "Haha, wow, I thought something bad was going to happen there but, heh, I guess everything's going to be-" the mine carts began to split up so now Jesse was alone. "Uhhhh, Axel? Olivia? Reuben? Anybody?" I called out. I heard Reuben's oinks and looked over to my right to see a skeleton in front of Reuben's mine cart. The carts were now side by side and I brought out my sword. "Hang on, Reuben!" I exclaimed.

I hit the skeleton twice and he fell off. Reuben oinked happily and leaped into the extra mine cart that I had. "Okay Reuben, remember when I said everything was going to be just fine before? I know I was wrong then but I have a very good feeling about this time-" three Ghasts came  up to me. I used my sword as a shield and the fireball bounced back off and onto the Ghast. The Ghast shot another fireball at me but it bounced back and killed the Ghast. I did the same to the other two.

"Well, Ghasts are officially crossed off my to-see list, done with Ghasts, never need to see them..." They turned a corner and a Ghast was there. It shot a fireball at Reuben's cart, making him fly into my lap. We went up a hill and then there was no track, or a jump. We then landed right behind Lukas, Olivia, and Axel who turned their heads. "Is...ha...is everyone okay?" I asked.

"I mean I'm not dead, I guess that's pretty good" Axel said.

"Ditto... ditto with the not dead" Olivia added.

"I just can't believe that Petra comes down here all the time ... this place is awful" Lukas murmured.

"You know those experiences you talk about for the rest of your life? This isn't one of those, lets never speak of this again." they then finally arrived at the portal. "Can you throw up... like... inside you're body?"

"Uh-huh, I know because I just did, about five times" Olivia responded. "All these tracks converge at this point, you could probably get anywhere in the world from here."

"That's our way out!" Axel pointed to the portal.

"But remember guys, we don't know what could be waiting for us out there" Lukas said.

"He's right" I responded.

"Alright I'm going, I'm going, I'm going right now" Axel said before looking back.

"I'm going" I said.

"Alright, if you say so" Axel said. I then walked through the portal.
