We had been traveling for about a week or two when we arrived in a swamp. The terrain had been rough and the horses were worn out. We had even had to stop and rest for the night at one point. Gabriel was surprisingly well, no signs of Wither Sickness at all, not even a glimmer, except for how tired he looked. Olivia was fine too. We had encountered a horde of Zombies on the way and she had a few nasty cuts on her arms, hands, and face.

Ivor and Soren were alright, they wouldn't stop arguing over the stupidest of things. At one point, Ivor had fallen asleep on Soren's shoulder and he almost fell off their horse when Soren woke him up. This resulted in one of their many arguments. Reuben was extremely tired, barley able to stay awake. Lukas looked to be fine but he had told me he was really stressed out and tired as well from everything thats been going on. As for me? I acted alright, tried to be as happy as I could be.

However, in reality, I was terrified, anything could jump out from the brambles and attack us at any moment. We were so vulnerable. A sheep could come along and rob us clean and not even know it did it. What terrified me the most, was the thought of my friends dying. What if Petra had succumbed to her Wither Sickness? What if Ellegaard and Axel had been killed by the Wither Storm already? What if we would be killed by Notch, just as all those who died in this game? I was brought back to reality when I heard Gabriel utter a few words.

"My rear end is profoundly sore" he complained.

"It feels like we've been riding forever" Lukas added.

"I am telling you, we cannot go to the Far Lands!" Soren shouted at Ivor. "They're not just the edge of this world but the limit of our comprehension!"

"Oh please, the Far Lands are a happy accident, natures way of keeping life interesting!" Ivor replied.

"No! No! No! They are perilous and unpredictable! Perlin noise, floating lights" Soren shook his head "These are not matters to be toyed with."

"Hold on, back up," I started "What exactly are the Far Lands?" I questioned and Soren and Ivor looked at me as if I had suddenly turned into a ghost.

"Are you being serious?" Soren asked "The Far Lands lie at the very edge of all things, where logic gives way to chaos" Soren sighed. "They're a dangerous place to visit and a horrible place to construct a laboratory!"

"Just wait till you see it" Ivor smirked slightly and chuckled.

"Do those to ever stop arguing?" Olivia asked.

"I don't know, I'm too hungry to care!" Gabriel exclaimed.

"No kidding..." Olivia sighed.

"Yeah, I'm starving" Lukas said.

"We all are, maybe we should turn back?" she asked.

"This isn't the time, swamps are too dangerous" Ivor told Olivia. "You never know what might be lurking around" a low growl made Gabriel jump.

"What was that?!" he asked.

"My stomach..." Soren replied dryly.

"Guys we can't turn back, not after we've come so far" I told everyone.

"Fine, but I'm taking a break" Olivia said angrily and everyone got off their horses, even me. I began to walk around, searching for food. After a few minutes, I had gathered four potatoes. When I got back to the group, Ivor was gone.

"Check out what I found!" I told Olivia and handed her a potato.

"A potato... incredible" she said dryly.

"Hey, at least it's food!" I shouted and Olivia handed the potato over to Gabriel.

"And another one!" I handed over another potato.

"Can I have that one?" Gabriel asked.

"You had the last one!" Soren shouted.

"Oh, you have it, Ivor" Gabriel said to Soren.

"I'm Soren, don't confuse me for that fool ever again" Soren narrowed his eyes. I then tossed a potato to Lukas and he caught it.

"Thanks, Jesse" he smiled.

"Hey, Soren, I have a surprise for you!" I told him.

"Is it a squid?" he questioned.

"What? Why would I have a squid?" I asked.

"I don't know, but I would certainly be surprised!" Soren smiled and I gave him the last potato I had. Thats when in the corner of my eye I saw a small hut. I approached it cautiously and looked up at it.

"A Witch hut" a voice made me jump, it was Ivor.

"Don't creep up on people like that!" I shouted at him. I then noticed a cake that was sitting in a window "Look at that! That would be enough to feed everyone!"

"It's not worth it, Jesse, Witches hate trespassers" Ivor told me.

"I'm sorry, but I can't pass this up" I told him.

"Just hurry!" I walked inside, grabbed the cake and began to walk out but thats when I heard a voice. "Jesse! Look out!" pain hit me in the back of the head and I fell to the floor. A cackle made me weakly get up and look around. My vision was blurry and what looked to be a Splash Potion of Harming was soaking into my clothes, or I should say Magnus'. I began to stumble out, collapsing on the ground outside the hut. This was it, I'm done for, suddenly, I felt someone help me onto my feet and guide me back to the group. I heard frantic voices which I could not make out and my vision was still blurry. The person that had helped me up placed me on a horse and everyone rode away. I blacked out.

I weakly opened my eyes, instead of being on my horse, I was on Soren's. Ivor was no where to be found. Olivia was riding on mine.

"W-What happened?" I asked.

"From what Ivor told us, you grabbed a cake, got hit with a potion and he stayed behind to fight the monsters, what do you remember?" Olivia asked.

"Not much, it's all a blur, I just remember grabbing the cake, getting hit in the head with the potion and someone picking me up" I told her.

"That was Ivor" Soren told me.

"Is Ivor... dead?" I questioned.

"I hope not, but if he is, he died the death of a hero, sacrificing himself to get you to safety" Soren murmured. "For how much we argue, he's a great friend, and believe it or not, braver than I." Everyone went silent "You should get some rest, Jesse, you look tired anyways." Since I was on the back of Soren's horse, with Soren in front of me, I ended up falling asleep on his shoulder just like Ivor did.
