"It's alright, Jesse," I heard Soren's voice rasp behind me. Only then did I notice the faint shadows under his eyes and the small bits of silver in his hair. He had taken a torch off the wall to help us see which illuminated the features. "We'll find a way back, or they'll find a way to us," he began "but first, we must continue, the map is here, I can feel it."
"Alright, Soren" I nodded and Reuben let out a snort behind me. Soren began to walk through the hall. Me and Reuben were at his side, a determined look plastered on his face. That was when a question slipped from my mouth.
"How long ago did you defeat the Ender Dragon?" he almost stopped in his tracks.
"Well... I honestly don't know," he confessed "i've lost count of the days here, all I know is that it was in the beta, about a year ago, maybe." I nodded, like Soren I too had lost count of the days we had been trapped in the game. "You arrived here the day it was released if I'm correct, right?"
"Yeah" I said.
"Well, now we're here, stuck in a game..." Soren then sighed. "Maybe Notch will let us out of this wretched game..."
"Maybe..."
"Oh what am I thinking? Of course he won't!" Soren shouted. I then noticed a door only a few blocks away. When we reached it I opened it and we entered a room. Small pillars were set up and small objects were places on top.
"Hah, I can't believe it!" Soren shouted. "He's gathered them all in one place!" There was a Ghast Tear, Packed Ice, a Sea Lantern, Prismarine Crystals, and a Dragon Egg.
"What are they exactly?" I asked Soren.
"They are the treasures of the Order of the Stone!" Soren exclaimed happily. I then noticed a door and walked over to it, I shook the handle a few times.
"It's locked," I said. I then approached the blue crystal and took it off it's stand.
"Jesse? What are you doing?" Soren questioned.
"These items might do something to open the door so..." Soren nodded in understanding. "How did you even get these crystals? They're so rare!"
"It was when the Order was still young, so greedy for rare jewels and trophies," Soren began "We had found a Sea Temple and decided to explore it," he then laughed. "We almost drowned ourselves getting these crystals, we used them to craft that Sea Lantern over there" he pointed to the sea lantern. "This was all that was left." I grabbed the Sea Lantern and approached a bit of Packed Ice.
"This was from the Ice Planes Spikes biome," Soren explained "It was so cold, but Magnus fell so many times it kept out hearts warm. After that, we knew we were ready to kill the Ender Dragon." I took the Ice and approached a Ghast Tear.
"This single Ghast Tear was our first treasure, we traveled to the Nether and we fought Ghasts for hours, this tear was our reward" I took the tear and approached the final treasure.
"Woah, woah, woah, it this the Ender Dragon egg?" I questioned. In front of me was a large black egg with purple spots.
"Heh, yes," he said nervously "as you know this was from our final mission..." he told me sadly. Once I took the egg a wall fell and there were more pillars. I then placed the treasures and placed them in order. The Ghast Tear, the Prismarine Crystal, the Sea Lantern, the Packed Ice, and the legendary Ender Dragon Egg. The door opened.
"How did you do that?! There were over 6000 combinations that could have done it!" Soren questioned, shocked.
"Your stories were the answer" I told him. We walked into the room and Soren gasped.
"It's a recreation of the Ender Dragon battle!" I couldn't tell if he was excited or in utter shock.
"Alright Soren, I think the key to this puzzle is locked in that head of yours" I told him.
"I have a key locked in my head?!" he asked in horror.
"No, no, no, I mean the answer to the puzzle" I chuckled and he nodded.
"We had been preparing for days, when we arrived, I noticed the Dragon was drawing power from the Ender Crystals. I shot the first one with a perfectly placed arrow. Ellegaard then built a machine to fire arrows at it and I landed on the Dragon by using the shockwave from Magnus' TNT. I drove the Dragon towards the final crystal and only then did Gabriel deliver his famous final blow" Soren explained.
"You did all that?!" I asked in shock.
"Yes, well... they didn't call us the Order of the Stone for nothing" he chuckled. I approached some levers, there were banners above them. A sword, a arrow, redstone, and TNT. I flipped the arrow lever and then the redstone, then the TNT, then the sword the door opened but there was a second door. I began to climb on top of the model Ender Dragon. There was a lever. I pulled it and the second door opened.
"Yes! You did it, Jesse!" Soren exclaimed. I jumped down from the dragon and we approached the door.
