December 18th - Friday

3:40pm

Maria's Pov

It's finally Friday, we getting out for Christmas break so that's a turn up but first let's get this Project out the way.

All I've been thinking about is me and Tremaine's future but we want Mia in it, I don't care what my mom said, this ain't her decision, it's me and Tremaine's decision.

I love kids, I love Mia, I'll be the best mother she ever had and I know Tremaine is gonna' be a good dad, we care about Mia besides, she's fallen in love with us just as much as we have fallen in love with her.

We all fell in love with each other so we're adopting her, that's final damnit and she's spending Christmas with us, matter fact me and Tremaine picking her up right after school.

"Ok class last and not least Maria and Tremaine let's see the presentation." Nikki said.

We got up holding hands and Tremaine was holding the file.

"Our presentation is on Mia Diamond and no Diamond is not her last name." Maria said.

"She's a beautiful little girl that's just wants love and the best Christmas ever." Tremaine said.

"We're determined to give that to her and so much more, we fell in love with her." Maria said.

"That little girl has been through a lot but her beautiful smile is worth millions." Tremaine said.

"She's only five, she never had her parents in her life cause' they never gave two fucks about her the minute she was born, that's something she never knew and never will find out, it'll break her little heart." Maria said.

"She's very sweet and loves helping people, even animals." Tremaine said.

"Mia's obsessed with chocolate so if you have some don't be afraid if she steal it from you." Maria said.

"She doesn't like it when people are treated wrong, she doesn't hold her tounge for nothing, and she can't stand bullying." Tremaine said.

"Ok that's egnough, I can tell y'all was finna' be all day so anything else important we should know about
Mia." Nikki said.

"Yes we're adopting her when we turn eighteen and she's spending Christmas break with us." Maria said.

"Yeah we're actually picking her up after school." Tremaine said.

"You both get a one hundred." Nikki said.

Everybody in the classroom clapped shocked at their presentation because they didn't expect all of that to be said about Mia

Later That Day

Maria, Tremaine, and Mia walked in Maria's house laughing drinking hot chocolate

Maria glanced at her mom crying hard in the living room drinking wine, drinking her sorrows away

"Mom what's wrong?" Maria said.

"It's...your..dad." Mariah sobbed.

"What about him, is he ok? " Maria said.

"No he's dead, he got in a car crash I just left the hospital, I'm sorry baby they tried everything, he was dead before he got to the hospital, there was nothing they could do, he didn't come back." Mariah said.

Tears slid from Mariah's eyes and before she fell on the floor Tremaine caught her as she broke down in his arms

Tremaine rubbed her back tryna' calm her down

Mia hugged her waist and cried with her

Mariah got up and hugged all of them

Mariah just lost her husband and Maria just lost her dad what makes it worse Mia will never even met him

This was supposed to be a happy day turned upside down

Meanwhile Maria was too in shock and can't believe that her dad is gone
