Ocean's POV

It's two days until prom and even though I said I didn't want to go at first. The more Randy has been talking about it and about school in general. The more I miss being there. I love being at home with DJ all day but sometimes I do wish that I could have just one day of no responsibilities. "And you'll never guess who Tony's taking" Randy says bringing me from my thoughts "um..Sarah?" He shakes his head smirking "Hobo Hellen!"

"No way!" I gasp "mhm..it's true" Randy chuckles "what's true?" Michael smiles coming into the room "Tony's taken Helen to the prom" I tell him "hobo Helen?" He giggles. I do feel bad for that everybody calls her that especially since it was me who started it. But I my defence I only said it once and I didn't actually think it would catch on and the whole school would start calling her that. "Anyway I'm gonna go get ready for school" Randy smiles leaving the room and Michael comes over and sits next to me at the breakfast table. "Are you really ok about this? Because I'd understand if..." I cut him off shaking my head "Michael, I fine ok? Like I told before I wanted to leave" I smile and peck his lips. He looks down at the table for a moment then quickly lifts his head up. "I have a idea!" He smiles excitedly "how about on Friday we get mother and Joseph to babysit DJ and you and I go out of town for the day and spend the night somewhere just the two of us" I nod excitedly. This is actually gonna be our full night and day alone together since... Actually I can't actually remember if we ever have.

Michael's POV

I'm at work and I can't stop thinking about Ocean. I feel awful because, Even though we've both been through so much already she's the one that's suffered the most. I know she said she doesn't care but I can tell she's missing seeing her friend. and I do feel bad about her not getting to go to her prom, but hopefully I'll be able to take her mind off things when we go out of town for the night. "Something on your buddy?" Jack says coming into the room breaking me from my thought. "Huh? Oh yeah everything's fine" I fake a smile which he's see's straight through. "I know I'm your supervisor, but I'm here if you need someone to talk to you know?" He smiles through pursed lips sitting on the edge of my desk. "I've just been having a few problems at home lately is all" I sigh and he nods understandably "I get it. Marriages can be tough sometimes. Must be even harder on you being so young" I'm about to speak when Ray comes in "yo Mike, you coming for lunch or what?" I nod getting up from the desk and head off with Ray.

"So what's up been up with you all week?" Ray asks "I'm just a little stressed" He nods at me looking around "why don't you and me go sneak a little...you know...and you can tell me all about it" he smiles. "I can't. Me and Ocean promised we wouldn't do it anymore. Plus My dad found out last time and threatened to call protective services if he found out I was..." He cuts me off smiling shaking his head. "So don't tell them...if we have a little now then by the time your shift ends it would have wore off" he shrugs. "But if Joseph found out he'll..." He cuts me off again "Mike, Joseph ain't gonna do shit he loves your boy, he isn't gonna let him get taken away" I sigh shaking my head "know but.." He rolls his eyes and sighs motioning me into the bathroom "c'mon you know you want some. What Ocean and Joseph don't know won't kill them" he shrugs smiling

Ocean's POV

Since LaToya had the day off work today we decided to go out for coffee and have some girlie time. "So I heard Michael flipped out at the hospital the other day" she smiles through pursed lips. Clearly wanting more details "how do you expect him to act.!? Michael didn't do anything wrong and everybody started accusing of beating me!" I frown getting defensive "Ocean, I believe you" she says putting her hand on mine "I know my brother would never do something like that" she smiles "I have noticed a little bit of tension between you both lately though" I sigh looking at the ground "we're just going through a little rough patch right now" I confess "well that's married life for ya" she giggles slightly under her breath "all couples go through a bad patch at some point. you'll both be ok" she smiles reassuringly "I know. Michael's actually taken me away for the night on Friday, just the two us" I smile. "Well don't you two come back with any more babies. I don't think we could handle anymore secret kids" she giggles nudging me playfully "you guys deserve a little break especially after everything you guys have been through and For such a young couple. I don't know how you guys do it"

"Well, we haven't actually told anybody this so you have to swear you won't repeat it"

"I swear" she smiles waiting for some kind of gossip "well for awhile now me and Michael have been seeing a marriage counsellor" she looks at me wide eyed "really!?" She gasps slightly "yeah, it really helps us communicate better" I smile "that's great!" She smiles back at me.

Michael's POV

"It's like no matter what we do there's always something round the corner to fuck it up" I explain to Ray sitting next to him on the restroom floor. "Dude! that's just life!. It's nothing either of you has done" he reassures me. "I know and I do try we both do and it's like nothing we do is good enough and even the other day when Ocean fell everybody assumed I did it!"

"have you ever hit her?" I sigh looking at the ground "I've you know...corrected her a few times in the past but I'm not proud of it"

"I'm sure people have done worse" he shrugs "But I have" I mumble looking at the ground and take a deep breath "I've forced her" I confess for the first time and he looks at me confused "what? to have sex?" I nod and he doesn't say anything "I raped her... a whole bunch of times" he frowns still confused "you can't rape your wife"

"Well...she was my girlfriend the first time" he shakes his head at me "then it's not rape if it's your wife or girlfriend" he shrugs "really?" I ask confused "well yeah, it's not like you dragged a random girl down and ally, she was just doing her wifely duties" he giggles. "I never thought of it like that"

"So our you doing this weekend?" He asks trying to take me out of my downer "Ocean and I are going away for the night on Friday"

"Oh yeah?" He smirks wiggling his eyebrows. I nod chuckling as the Coke starts taking effect "you guys gotta go all the way out of town just to fuck!?" He says shocked and I shake my head giggling "of course not! But it's a lot better when we're not having to try and keep it down ya know?"

"She's a moaner huh!?" He asks chuckling "oh yeah!...she loves the D" I smirk proudly. "What the fuck is this!?" Jack walks in making us jump. "Um...I had to pee" I lie "for half and hour!?" He frowns "he had a really full bladder" Ray chuckles. Jack frowns at us confused "well back to work both of you!" He snaps leaving the room. I get up to leave and Ray grabs my arm "here" he whispers sneaking some more Coke in my pocket "dude, today was just a one off...like I said...one for the road you know" I shake my head "well you have it if you change your mind" he shrugs "I really can't risk..." He cuts me off "just stick it in locker incase you get a little you know...stressed again. It's not like your dad or Ocean are gonna come to your work and check your locker"
