False hope

Ocean's POV

Michael and I have been talking alot lately about Nevaeh and have decided that since DJ has been baptised, it's only right that we do the same for her. It was really rushed with DJ, but this time we're going to do things properly. It won't be until next month, we're at Michael's parents house today making plans and getting things ready.

"I still don't understand why your baptising your children as Christians when the two of you are Jehovah's Witnesses" Kathrine shakes her head. "we were until they kicked us out. they all made it pretty clear to Michael and I at kingdom hall, we're not welcome anymore" I point out. "but I've already told you both a thousand times, their willing to forgive you both. All you both have to do is admit the two of you committed a dirty and shameful sin. Your both married now and they WILL forgive you and welcome you back"

"and a thousand times, we're not saying it" Michael says sternly. We fell in love and we made love to each other and had a son through that love. we didn't commit any dirty or shamfull sin"

"maybe not HER" Joseph scoffs under his breath and the room goes awkwardly silent for a moment until Janet breaks it. "how do people make love?"

"so is there a dress code or anything at these thing's?" La Toya smiles ignoring her question. "not really but Nevaeh has to wear white and wev've picked out a really beautiful dress for her. everyone else can wear anything they want" I shrug. "something smart though" Michael adds still visible upset by Josephs comment and she nods. "what will DJ be wearing?" Janet asks innocently and Kathrine nudges her to shut up. "um.. DJ won't be there. We got visitation again but it's gone back to one hour supervised" I mumble. "what!? That's not fair! Why can't they let you take him for the day anymore?" Randy jumps in. "because that's what the courts said. Since we lost visitation before we have to start again and prove we're serious" Michael shrugs. "clearly you are! You have Neveah and she's ok. Why can't Jessica just give him back?" He frowns "shut... Up" La Toya hisses at him through clenched teeth. "because she's making it as difficult as possible for us, plus she doesn't know about Nevaeh" I explain to him.

"and she won't be finding out either" Michael adds sternly. He's about to speak again but Jermaine cuts him off. "so what happens after the church. "well we were thinking about getting all the family together here or at our place after" Michael says. "we can have it here. One of us will have to call Marlon and the others to let them know the details"

"I completely forgot, they don't know about Nevaeh yet" I gasp slightly. "Marlon will be shocked when we tell him, you should have seen his face when I told him about DJ" Michael chuckles slightly. "trust me. When it comes to you two, nothing surprises us anymore" Joseph laughs slightly under his breath. "oh! And we'll finally get to meet Marlon's girlfriend. She sounds like such a sweet girl from what he's told me" Kathrine smiles. "I can't wait to meet her. And this baptism thing will be a perfect way to introduce her to the family"

"it'll be a great for Aisha too. She still hasn't met you all yet" Jermaine says and the room goes awkwardly silent once again. "do you really think that's appropriate? This day is about Michael, Ocean and Neveah?" La Toya frowns. "you know about that?" I mumble "will all do. And she's not coming anywhere this house or this family" Joseph frowns. "it's not like she's a serious girlfriend"

"yes she is" Jermaine frowns. "oh please! You have about three other girls your seeing as well. Don't think we don't know what you get up to" Kathrine cuts in. "anyway... Back to the plans" Michael says Changing the topic and I rest my hand on top of his seeing how uncomfortable he's feeling and he smiles slightly at me through pursed lips.

Jermaine's POV

I go in the kitchen to get a glass of water and my mother follows me in. "what the heck was you thinking bringing up that woman... And I use the word WOMAN loosely!" She snaps at me in a hushed tone. "why is everyone making out like she's the only one who was in the wrong? Incase everybody's forgot, Michael was involved just as much.. But I guess golden boy gets a pass.... as always!" I frown getting annoyed with Aisha being made to be the only one to blame. "nobody's saying Michael is completely innocent, but at least he's admitted he was wrong. And incase YOU forgot! Michael has a wife and a child that needs him and Michael needs them. You saw what he was like when he was away from Ocean. He was a complete mess! And that little whore took advantage!"
