Restraining order

Jessica's POV

It's been a few days since Ocean supposedly stayed at Sarah's. I've quizzed her about it and even though I have no actual proof I just know that she was with Michael. just like I know he didn't just come around here to visit an old friend. I can tell she's hiding something by the way she's been acting, it's the same way she was acting when she was pregnant. I meant what I said about making sure Michael never see's Duncan again, which is why I'm on my way to see a lawyer about putting some kind of restraining order on him. He kept me away from Duncan and Ocean for months now let's see how he likes it when I do the same to him.

Michael's POV

Now that those pills have started taking affect and Jessica's is tired all of the time, Ocean is going to try and convince her mother to let her have DJ for a full day at least once a week, it's still risky if her mother finds out especially now she knows where I live. I spoke to Jason about it and he came over this morning and told me that with all the progress I've made and proved I'm not a danger to anyone, I can try and file for visitation and he helped me fill out all the paperwork and stuff. If I do get it Jason said it would probably only be and hour and would have to be supervised but that one hour will be one step closer to Ocean and I getting DJ back. And as soon as we do we'll all be as far away from here as possible.

After Jason left Ocean and I drive to go see the doctor and she's been quiet the entire ride. "Everything's gonna be ok" I smile reassuring her "Jason even said I have a good case"

"I know but, I just wish all this would be over by now" she sighs. "I know baby, and I do too. But Jason told us it was gonna be a long process. Plus we're doing everything by the book, so once we do get him back we won't have to worry about Jessica or anybody else trying to take him away again" I smile and she smiles back.

We pull up outside and I put my arms around her. "It'll be ok" I smile an kiss her softly. She kisses me back then moves away slightly "what's wrong?" I frown confused "I want things to be like they were...with us.." She mumbles "and they will be" I smile pecking her lips. She mumbles something faintly "huh?" I ask and she takes a deep breath "I want us to make love again" she quickly says "now!?" I ask surprised looking around the busy parking lot and she giggles slightly "no...soon" I nod and press my lips softly against hers "are you sure your ready?" She smiles and nods. "I'm ready"

Jessica's POV

"I'm sorry Mrs Thompson, but you cannot get a restraining order against someone unless they've done something" Mr Donald my lawyer tells me. "But I have custody and I don't want him anywhere near my grandson"

"I understand that. But unless Michael does something or threatens you or your family there's nothing you can do. He hasn't broken any laws and there's no proof he's been in contact with either your daughter or your grandson"

"But he's been violent towards my daughter in the past. He's raped and beaten her! You can check her medical records of you don't believe me!" snap "that's why I have custody in the first place"

"But there was no charges ever made against him for any kind of abuse"

"Because she was to scared!" I snap "and what about the fact that he got her pregnant when she was just 15? Surly there's a law about having sex with a minor!"

"There is. But Michael was 17 at the time which means he was a minor too" I'm about to speak but he cuts me off "I understand your concerns Mrs Thompson. But unless he does something your request for a restraining order will most likely be rejected"

"But what if Ocean makes a request?" I ask "would that help?"

"If she files for an order and generally fears for hers and her sons safety. Due to his past violence towards her. The restraining order is more likely to be accepted"

"So if I bring her down here and get her to tell you all this you can do it?"

"If she comes here willingly yes."

Ocean's POV

I've still been doing what Michael said and sneaking the pills into my mothers drinks and she's been tired for days now. I had the chance to do it this morning but she said she had a lot of errands to run today and I didn't want to risk her falling asleep at the wheel, especially if she had DJ with her.

When I get home my parents are both in the kitchen and I decide now would be a good time to ask about having more time alone with DJ. "Would it be ok for me to take DJ out again on Saturday?" I ask joining my father at the table as my mother prepares dinner "fine by me" my father shrugs. "I was thinking maybe I could take him for the whole day?" my mother shakes her head "not all day. You can take him for a few hours and that's it"

"I really don't mind. Your exhausted taking care of him all by yourself. The least I can do is take him out for the day to give to a little break" insist. "You could do with the rest" my father tells her "and where are you planning on taking him?" She frowns "just to the park or something" she sighs and joins me at the table "where were you on Saturday night?"

"Sarah's. I already told you" I shrug "so you wasn't with Michael?" I shake my head and act confused "I haven't seen Michael in months. You know this"

"So how come Joseph seen him round here last week?"

"I have no idea. But I promise you I haven't seen him. And I blocked his number months ago so he couldn't call me anymore" I lie. She looks at me sceptically for a moment. "You really want to take Duncan for the day? Just you and Duncan?"

"Yes" I nod "and I promise you I won't be going anywhere near Michael or letting him see DJ. I don't even know where he is anyway" she goes silent for a moments pursing her lips. "I'll make a deal with you...I'll let you take Duncan out for the whole day. Every Saturday ...under one condition" she pauses for a moment "you go down to the court house and file a restraining order against Michael so he can't come anywhere near you or Duncan"

"What?" I frown confused "if you want me to trust you alone with Duncan then you'll go down there" she says sternly "But he hasn't done anything" I shrug "you can't put a restraining order on someone if they haven't been anywhere near you"

"I spoke to a lawyer today and he told me I couldn't but if you were to go down there you can...now the choice is yours...file for a restraining order on Michael and get Duncan all day every Saturday or have no time alone with him at all"

I sigh and nod my head "I'll go down there first thing in the morning"

After dinner I make and excuse telling my parents I was going to the store. As soon as I get round the corner I call Michael and tell him what's happened.

Sherri POV

I get home late from work and everybody is asleep apart from Jessica. She tells me about what happened when she went to see a lawyer and about the deal she made with Ocean. "Why would you make a deal telling her she can have him for a whole day and I thought you wanted proof they were still seeing each other so you could kick her out" I ask confused and she smirks proudly "because if Michael tries to contact Ocean which he will he'll be arrested and it will prove Ocean's been seeing him and I can kick her out. Plus! with Michael locked up Ocean won't have anyone to turn to or anywhere to go so there's no chance of her getting Duncan back especially if she's homeless"

"And you believe she'll really go down to the court house?" I ask raising and eyebrow "yup. Because I told her I want to see a copy of the file"

"And you really think this plan of yours will work?" I ask skeptically "of course it will! It's fool proof" she smiles proudly
