*Aria's adoptive parents POV, mainly the mothers*
Elizabeth -adoptive mother
Shawn- adoptive dad.
" are you sure she's ready for this?" Shawn asked.
"Shawn, she told you it hurts her heart. Aria maybe a strong girl but she's never afraid to show how she truly feels. This is hurting her Shawn. You can't tell me you never expect this day to come." I said getting into bed.
He shrugged, "Alice & James never asked to meet their parents." He replied.
"But their situations are different from hers. Sara said both biological parents wanted her but the mother decided to give her up. We had Alice & James before they were a month old. Ari had a relationship with her parents. She's always gonna have this bond with them that we'll never experience with her. We gotta let her do this." I said desperately.
" You're right.... it's gonna be hard sharing her." He said sadly.
" I know. But do it for Ari." I said kissing him lightly. He nodded.

We dropped the kids off at my mom's house then went and talked to Sara Miller, Ari's case worker.

" hey! How are you guys?" She said hugging us. "Were good, how about you?" We asked sitting down.
" Good good, what can I do for you guys? Wanting to adopt another little one?" She asked excited.
"Oh no, I think we're done." I laughed.
" Oh then what is it?" She asked confused.
Me and shawn looked at eachother. "Aria wants to meet her biological parents." I said.
Sara's eyes widen. "Wait what?" She asked.
" She is really hurting right now. She feels like she missing apart of herself. She really wants to meet her parents. It was the only thing she wrote on her christmas list." Shawn said.
"Okay, I just want to make you know if her bio parents come into the picture they are not going to leave. Her father came in here a 6 weeks after you adopted her demanding I get her back, he even went to the police. Her father will definitely want to be in her life. Are you guys prepared for that?" She asked. We both nodded. She stood up and got into her filing cabinet and got Aria's folder out. She set it on her desk looking through it. She came across a envelope that said 'Aria'.
" Oh here. I don't know if you guys wanna read it first but it's a letter her bio mom wrote to her after she gave her to you guys." She said handing it to us.
"Ah, here it is. Okay so here's her original birth certificate. Michael Jackson and Audrey Rose. Um I mean I'll see what I can do. I am not promising she'll get to meet either of them on Christmas. & prepare for the worst if it ends up one of them or both are no longer with us. Usually we do get some notification but sometimes it doesn't come through. I'll do my best." She said.
"Thank you sara. We all appreciate your hard work." I said hugging her then shawn shook her hand.
We picked up the kids and brought them home.
We had a nice quiet dinner. After we cleaned up, shawn & I took Ari to our room to talk to her.

"Sara is gonna do her best but she not sure she can get this done by christmas." I told her. "Okay. At least she's trying." She said.
" you wanna know what she told us about you bio daddy?" Shawn asked. Her head quickly snapped to him, "what?"
"She said after we adopted you he went into her office demanding you were given back to him. He even went to the police." Shawn said.
"He must've really wanted me uh?" She smiled. We nodded. "Why didn't sara give me back to him though if he wanted me?" She asked.
" she said that even though they tried to be good parents they weren't ready to be parents. They couldn't take care of you the way they shouldve, they did try but you need a stable home & they were not stable." I told her. She nodded understanding. "That's okay because I'm happy to be in this family." She smiled hugging us. "One more thing, " I said handing her the letter. "What is it?" She asked.
" your bio mom wrote it after she gave you up. It was meant for whenever you started to.wonder about her or your dad." I told her.
She stared at it. "Will you read it to me mom?" She asked.
"Id be honored." I said opening it up. I unfolded the letter.
I started to read it out loud.
Dear Aria,
Aria is your birth name, your father picked it out. I do not know if your new family renamed you but that is the name we gave you. I think of you often, I try not to think of you too often though because giving you up is something I'm not proud of . I know you have a good life but a lot of questions. That's okay. To answer your first question, yes we love you. You were the apple of your father's eye. We wanted you so bad but I also wanted what's best for you and it wasn't us. I was 15 and he was 18. You were made from love, but being a mother at 16 with a boyfriend who wasn't allowed around her wasnt easy. I couldn't give you a lot things and im sorry. You were not a mistake though, just a lovely surprise. I hope your family is amazing and I hope you realized you are loved by many.

Aria had tears in her eyes. "I cant wait to meet them mom." She said in awh, " I didn't realize she was that young." I said.
" me neither." Shawn said.
"She said I was a lovely surprise." Ari said.
" Because you were. & I hope this all turns out to be what you expect." I told her.

Weeks went by and nothing. I think Aria was losing hope. I hurt my heart to see her jumping at every phone call wanting it to be Sara but only to have her hopes crushed.
"Mom I don't want anything for christmas.....only to meet my parents." She said sadly.
" Were trying honey." I said stroking her curly black hair.
After that I called Sara.
" Oh my gosh, I was just about to call you!" She said excited. "Any luck? " I asked.
" I just found her dad, he literally live not even an hour from you guys! I'm going to call him to confirm he is who he say he is."
"No, could we actualy, all three of us go to meet him instead? A phone call isn't enough. I mean do you remember what he looks like?" I asked. " yeah sort of, kind of if I saw him I'd know it's him. Okay let's go tomorrow then." She said.
" That fantastic. We're not telling her we found him. I want to surprise her for christmas." I said.
"Sounds good to me. Meet me at my office at 1pm tomorrow?" She asked.
" alright thank you so much Sara. You're truly a blessing." I said then hanging up
