Get Through the Pain

After a week of being in the hospital, going from critical condition to being a semi happy 3 year old, we're finally going home. He's so happy to go home. Michael carried him out, and i carried the bags. Jayden waved goodbye to all his nurses and whoever we walked passes. We were excited to get home, then go to Liz and Shawns to celebrate Aria's birthday with everyone. "How old is sissy?" Jj asked. "10." Michael replied. "It's been a crazy year." Michael commented. "It has. It's been a year since we've back in eachothers lives that was a fun journey." I said rolling my eyes. "It still shocks me, that she's back in our lives. Just like when I see her I'm like that's my daughter and she calls me dad still." He smiled. "I like to cuddle her like she's still our little baby. That's what I miss, the cuddles she gives." I smiled. "Yeah, she's always been a good cuddler." Michael replied. "Am I a good cuddler?" Jayden asked. "Yeah, to dre!" Michael rolled his eyes joking. "You kick me in your sleep." Michael giggled. Jayden just giggled. "How's your head feel buddy?" Michael asked. He shrugged, "it feel okay." He replied.

We got him home. Michael didn't let him run around. He was dying to just run around again but we had to be careful because his head. Michael bathed Jayden as I showered. I dressed Jayden letting Michael get his shower in.
"I wear this Dre." He said pulling his sweater and matching pants out. "Well let's wait to see if daddy will wear his today." I said. Michael has a matching outfit to his. "Otay." "Did daddy lotion you up?" I asked. He shook his head. I put lotion on him then Michael walked in, with just gym shorts on. "Daddy can we wear our outfits today?" He asked. "Sure buddy. Here let me put this ointment on your head." Michael replied.

We all got dressed then went to Liz and Shawns. "Jayden!" Aria hollered happily. She hugged him tight. "I'm so glad you're here bubby!" She smiled. "Me too! Me and daddy match too! You're 10 today is what daddy and Dre said." He giggled. "I am!" She replied. She hugged us then ran off with Jayden. "Don't let him run around Ari." Michael hollered. There were kids running around everywhere. We walked out back to see Josh, Erin, Liz, James, Alice and Shawn. We all greeted eachother. "Hey, so me and Shawn were talking. If you guys would like to, just because I know you guys would like to have her on her birthday. You guys can have her on her birthday and we have her for the day of her 'Gotcha Day' so it's kind of evened out." Liz said. "Really? That'd be awesome!" I smiled. "Yeah we feel like it's only fair cause you gave birth to her and yah know." She smiled. "God, why are you guys so kind and understanding?" I asked as I hugged her. "Well we love you guys and if It weren't for you guys we wouldn't have her." She replied.
As we just walked around, Michael kept an eye on Jayden and I helped with the triplets. I was trying to grab Danny as I then bumped into someone. "Oh I'm so sorry!" I said then looking to see who it is. "Oh it's okay!" The woman smiled. She looks so familiar.... "You look familiar. Do I know you?" She asked. "I was just thinking the same thing? What's your name?" I asked "Rae Tilton." She replied. Instantly a smile covered my face, "No Way! Rae? It's me, Dre!" I said excited. She covered her mouth in disbelief. "You're kidding!" She squealed. We both squealed as we hugged eachother. "What are you doing here?!" She asked. "It's mine and Michaels daughters birthday party!" I replied. "Aria is your guys daughter?! No way! My step daughter is friends with her! That's freaking crazy. So you and michael live here?" She asked. Rae moved away shortly after I had Aria and doesn't really know what happened. We sat down and I told her everything that happened and I even told her that Michael and I were secretly dating. "Oh wow. A lot happened...." She said. "Yeah but we're all good now. You wanna see Michael?" I asked. She nodded. I found michael holding an upset Jayden. "Awh what's wrong babyboy?" I asked him. He reached for me, I took him holding him tight. "I just wanna play dre." He said sadly. "Awh we know that buddy, but your still recovering and me and daddy don't want you to end up in the hospital again." I told him. "Okay..." he said sad. "Hey Michael, you remember my old friend Rae from high school?" I asked. He nodded. "Her step daughter is friends with Ari!" I said introducing them. "Oh no way. That's awesome." He said greeting her with a hug. "Yeah, they've been friends before I even met Quincy. So they've known eachother since they were like 4 or 5." She smiled. "Do you have any kids?" I asked. "Yeah I have a little guy running around here. He's 6. Then me and quincy have a daughter together." She replied. "What ever happened to Stacey? " She asked me I rolled my eyes. "Is Stacey here?" I asked. "I saw Chris and Zane but not her. I'm pretty sure they're divorcing." He replied. "Shes crazy." I comment. "Oh really?" She asked. "Yeah, she's insane." Michael added.
"She is crazy. I remember her getting pregnant on purpose. That's when I realized it." She giggled. "Yeah that was stupid of them." I replied.
We sat there and talked as Jayden was still upset. "Mom can Jayden come and play tag?" She askes. "Dre pwweeasse." He begged. "I'm sorry jj but you cant. You've got to take it easy or you'll be in the hospital again." I said. He instantly brusted into tears. "Here I'll take him." Michael said. "No! No! I play daddy! I play!" He screamed. Michael took him inside. "Poor little guy." Rae said.
"Mom this is my best friends mom!" Ari said. "I know. Me and Rae went to high school together." I smiled. "Really?" She said excited
Eventually micha had to take Jayden home. He was getting too upset.
I waited for Ari to get her stuff together to leave and for her to say bye to all her friends. We got in the car and just rode in silence. "Did you have fun babygirl?" I asked. She smiled and nodded. "I just want Jayden to be better." She said. "We all do." I replied.

We got into Michaels house and Jayden was crying & screaming at Michael. "Daddy! I don't like you! I want to play! I hate you!" He cried. I jogged upstairs to find michael just holding Jayden as he threw his tantrum. Michael looked exhausted. "What is wrong with him?" I asked freaked out. "It's just his body acting up from the heroin. He's having a anxiety attack or something. He'll have a couple of these." He said. Jayden had a tight grip on michaels shirt then would hit Michael. This wasn't like Jayden this was definitely his body reacting to the trauma. "Bubby, it's okay." Ari said rubbing his back. "Arwee!" He cried wanting her. We decided to call it a night. We all decided to lay in Michael bed hoping it would help Jayden be calm. He tossed and turned holding on to michael then me then ari. It was a long night.

To let michael and Ari get some sleep. I took Jayden down stairs holding him, rocking him and singing to him. After a while he did fall asleep. I took Jayden to the guest bedroom with me and we went to sleep.

As the week went on our nights were hectic. He'd cry and screaming till he exhausted himself. Michael and i laid there as Jayden was finally asleep. We both just stared at him. "It wasn't this bad last time." Michael commented. "I hope this blows over soon." I replied. "Me too. Thanks for being here though. I couldn't do this without you." He said. I gave him a light smile.

The next day was a really bad day for Jayden. I really thought Michael was going to lose it. He's definitely reaching his breaking point. Jayden finally took a nap and I found Michael on the couch with his head in his hands. I rubbed his back he looked up and he's on the verge of tears. "Baby." I said then hugging him. "I don't know how much longer I can keep at this. This isnt Jayden. This is the monster she's created." He said. "He'll be back to his regular self soon." I said. "I hope. I miss my son." He said.
Me and Michael just rested on the couch, trying to get some rest before Jayden woke up. Michael passed out and I heard Jayden walking down the stairs. "You okay buddy?" I asked approaching him. He nodded rubbing his eyes. He reach for me, I picked him up and sat on the couch with him. He rested his head on my chest going back to sleep. I played with his curls, as michael woke up. He leaned 9 on my shoulder just staring at Jayden. Jayden's eyes fluttered open looking at Michael. "Hey buddy." He smiled. "Hi daddy." He replied. Michael kissed his head. "I love you daddy." He said. He hasn't said that in a week. Michael smiled big. "I love you so much more Jayden." Michael said. "I feel better." He said. "Good, you have a doctor's appointment tomorrow." Michael said. We ate dinner then spent the rest of the night in Michael's bed watching Disney movies. Jayden was acting a little normal so it was nice. I woke up with Jayden on top of me, like he use to do when we went to sleep.

The doctor said Jayden was clear to do his normal things. Jayden is so excited so we set up a play date with the triplets. He was so happy! "Hey why don't you take my car, go home and get some house work done or sleep. I'll bring him home tonight." I told him. "Are you sure?" He asked shocked. I nodded. "You need some alone time." I smiled. "Are you staying with us tonight or?" He asked. "No I'm gonna stay here tonight and have some girl time with Willow."I replied.

"Dre! Let me do your makeup!" Willow said excited. "Okay. " I giggled. She did my makeup then Michael called. "Hey, your on speaker." I said answering. "What are you guys doing?" He asked. "I'm doing Dre makeup!" Willow gleamed. "Make her look like a clown Willow." He giggled. "Yeah!" She said excited. "Thanks Michael." I giggled. He just giggled. "Whats Jayden doing?" I asked. "He's actually asleep!" He said surprised. "I just think him not being able to get all his energy out really added on to the trauma his body has been through." I commented. "I agree. He was acting himself tonight." He replied. "That's awesome. " I said genuinely
"Yeah well I let you go. Bye willow." He said. "Bye uncle stinky." She laughed. "Oh I'm gonna get you little girl! " He laughed " Bye michael. " I laughed hanging up.
"He funny." She smiled. "Yeah." I replied. "Wook." She said handing me a mirror to look at my makeup. I just started laughing. You could definitely tell a 3 year old did my makeup. "You're pretty." She said proud. "You did so good willow." I said."I know."She said with an attitude making me laugh. "Oh she got her hands on you did she?" Erin laughed. "Yeah." "She did Josh's makeup last week." She laughed. "Awh he's such a good dad!" I said in awh. "Yeah." She smiled. "Bed time Willow." Erin said. Erin out the kids to bed then came into my room and we just did some girl talk. "How's things going with Josh lately?" I asked. "Better. He's been working less so that's been helpful." She smiled. "Good." "What about you know who?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows. "Things are good I mean things got rough with Jayden. But he really needed me." I said. "When are you gonna tell people?" She asked. "I.....I don't know." I said unsure.
