It Wasn't A Mistake To Me

I woke up dazed, thinking about last night. Part of me hoped it was a dream and part of me didnt. She wasn't at my side. I know she left. She's gonna hate me again that's why I want it to be just a really good dream.
I groaned rubbing my face as I sat up. I checked my phone. No phone call or text for her... I got up putting my briefs on. I got in the shower, trying to get the smell of sweat and other smells off of me. Once I got out I called Quin.
"Hello?" She answered. "Hey, it's me." I sighed. "Uh oh. What was the sigh for?" She asked.
"So I think you were kind of right." I said. "Right about what?" She asked.
"Uhh.... me and dre slept tonight last night." I said.
"Slept together as in you just went to sleep in the same bed and nothing else right?" She asked. I stayed silent for a minute. "No." I replied.
" so you guys fucked." She asked. "Yeah but it felt like more then just fucking! I just want her even more now." I said. "Michael this isn't good." "I know. That's why I called you. What do I do?" I asked freaking out. "You have to talk to her about it."
"What do I even say?" I asked defeated.
"You need to tell her it wasn't just a hook up to you." She stated. "You want me to tell her I'm in love with her?!" I freaked. "Michael! Yes! Because if you don't she's gonna think you just used her for sex!" She hollered over the phone. "Fine. Should I do it today or give her space?" I asked. "Today because if you give her space she'll convince herself even more it was just a hook up."
"Okay okay... whenever I go to pick up Jayden I will...." I said.
" okay. ... say it again." She said. "Say what?" I asked confused. "That I'm right." She stated. I giggled. "You're right." I said. "Damn right! Man that is like music to my ears coming from you." She laughed. "Okay well I'm going to go. Bye." I said hanging up.
"Fuck.' I said to myself looking in the mirror seeing a light hickie on my neck.
I texted josh to see how Jayden was doing. He texted back that he was fine and they should be home around 6pm. So I have about 6 hours to think about what I'm going to say to dre & how. Should I just be like I still have feeling for you? I want you to be back in my life more than a friend? Shit....
During those 6 hours I debated on what to say to her, she never called or texted so that's a sign things are gonna be weird.
It hit 6 and josh texted that they are home. I drove over to their house and so many thoughts were racing through my head. I needed to prepare for the worst.
I arrived at their house, I knocked on the door and walked in. "Daddy!" Jayden squealed running to me. I caught him lifting him up to me. "I missed you." He said hugging me. "I missed you more." I smiled kissing his cheek. "I had so much fun today!" He beamed
"That's awesome."
"Yeah he may be a little burnt. We put sunscreen on him but he just got dark." Erin laughed. "I can see." I giggled.
"Is Dre here?" I asked finally. "Yeah, she's been in her room all day." She answered.
I put Jayden down and walked up to her room. I lightly knocked on the door. "Go away." She said. "Let me in." I said. " no." "Yes." "I don't want to see you." She stressed. "I want to talk. Just open the god damn door." I demanded. I could hear her huff through the door. "I'm not leaving till we talk." I stated. Soon her footsteps came to the door. Her quickly opened the door, "hi! There we talked. Bye." She tried to shut the door but I held it open pushing my way into her room.
"Get out michael!" She hollered trying to push me out. "Would you just stop!" I said grabbing her arms
She looked down hiding her hurt expression. "I wanna talk about last night." I said calmly. "I already know. It was just a one time thing and you didn't mean for it to happen and you didn't mean anything you said. It was just a hook up." She said hatefully.
She yanked her arms away from me but I grabbed her arm pulling her back. "No. I didn't mean for it to happen but it wasn't just a hook up to me." I said. She looked at me confused. " what?" She asked. I grabbed her face and kissed her. But she pushed lightly on my chest breaking me away from her. "No." She stated backing away from me. "No? No what?" I asked. "I'm not playing your little games again." She said. "Dre-" "no michael. Your not fooling me this time. Get out." She said. "Just please-" "Get Out Michael!" She shouted mad. I walked to the door, "im not playing games" I said then walking out.
