The Ice-Mage (Gray Fullbuster x Reader)

Prologue

(3rd PoV)
"Mommy? Daddy? Kino? Where are you?" 9 year old (Y/N) said. She was standing in the middle of a clearing in the forest.

"I'm scared.. No one is here with me.." She said as she looked around, terrified.

The bushes and trees rustled, scaring (Y/N). A dragon then appeared in front of (Y/N), towering over her.

(Y/N) shook with fear and stepped back. "Please don't hurt me, Mr. Big Dragon.." She whimpered out.

"Do not fear child, I won't hurt you. Why are you here all alone?" The dragon said.

"I-I can't find my family.. I woke up here.." (Y/N) said. The dragon slowly shook its head. "You poor girl. Come with me, I'll take care of you until they return." It said.

(Y/N) nodded slowly and climbed onto the dragons back. "Do you have a name, Mr. Big Dragon?" (Y/N) asked.

"My name is Genso. I will teach you an ancient type of magic to help you." Genso said.

(A few months later)

"Genso! Look! I found a huge watermelon!" (Y/N) said as she rolled a huge watermelon into the small camp that she shared with Genso.

No reply. "Genso, where are you? I want to share this with you!" (Y/N) called out. No reply.

(Y/N) searched everywhere looking for Genso, but had no luck finding him.

"No! Why isn't Genso here?! Where is he?!" (Y/N) screamed out as she started to cry.

"What are you crying about kid?" A male and human voice asked. (Y/N) looked up at the person in front of her and stepped back.

"Don't hurt me please.. I can't find G-Genso.." (Y/N) said as she continued to cry. The person kneeled down in front of her and wiped (Y/N)s tears away.

"I'm not going to hurt you. But who's Genso? And what's your name?" The person said.

"My name is (Y/N) G-Gengon (L/N). Genso is my dragon.." (Y/N) said sniffled.

"Your dragon huh? Cool. Oh and my name is Gray. Gray Fullbuster." Gray said.

"H-Hi Gray.. Um.. Do you want to share a watermelon with me?" (Y/N) asked as she gestured to the watermelon beside her.

Gray chuckled and stood up. "Sure, but first, follow me. It's dangerous for you to be out here alone. I'll bring you to my guild, Fairy Tail." Gray said as he picked up the watermelon with one hand.

(Y/N) nodded and followed beside Gray. She reached for his free hand and grabbed it.

Grays eyes widened and he stopped walking. He quickly jerked his hand away from (Y/N). "Why did you do that..?" (Y/N) asked sadly.

"You're not hurt or cold?" Gray asked with wide eyes. (Y/N) shook her head, "Nope. Only a little cold when I touched you hand. But I don't care, I like the cold."

Gray smiled and grabbed (Y/N)s hand again, holding onto it. "Good. Now let's go. Oh, and (Y/N)?" Gray said.

"Hm?" (Y/N) asked.

"When is your birthday?" He asked as they walked through the forest.

"Today."
