Chapter 31

(3rd PoV)
"You smiled..!" Natsu, Erza, Lucy, and Wendy exclaimed in shock.

(Y/N) nodded as she rubbed the back of her head nervously.

Wendy was the first to tackle (Y/N) in a hug.

"I missed seeing you smile (Y/N)-san!" She said as she pulled away from (Y/N).

"Hey Gray, aren't you happy that you finally got to see (Y/N) smile ever since we came back?" Lucy asked.

Gray nodded as he wrapped an arm around (Y/N)'s shoulders.

"I am, but I already saw her smile." He said causally.

(Y/N) blushed at what Gray did.

Everyone's jaw dropped at what Gray did and said.

"What?!" They all yelled.

"Explain Stripper! Explain why you're being all cozy with my little sister and how you got to see her smile before us!" Natsu yelled.

"Calm down, I will." Gray said.

(Time skip to after explaining everything.)

"(Y/N).. You died..?" Lucy asked with a pained expression.

(Y/N) nodded slowly and looked away from everyone else.

"I saved Gray-ku- I mean Gray.. I saved him by sacrificing myself." She said.

"And you finally confessed to him?" Natsu asked.

(Y/N) nodded as she blushed.

"Wait. You knew that she liked me?!" Gray asked.

Natsu nodded as he cheekily smiled, "Yup! (Y/N) told me!"

"What?! (Y/N), you told Natsu instead of telling Erza, Wendy, and I?!" Lucy asked.

(Y/N) nodded with a blank look.

The girls frowned but then shrugged it off.

"So.. Are you guys a couple now?" Natsu asked.

Silence.

(Y/N) looked at Gray and Gray looked at (Y/N).

"Melo." Gray said.

"Yeah?" (Y/N) asked.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Gray asked as a blush went across his face.

"Of course..!" (Y/N) replied as she gave Gray a closed-eye grin.

The rest of Team Natsu sweat-dropped as they glanced at each other.

As the carriage passed by a fenced pasture, an old lady caught Gray's attention.

"What the.." He mumbled as he looked out the window, looking at the old lady.

The old lady looked at the carriage and at Gray. She waved at him and gave him a closed-eye smile.

'Wait a minute..'

'No.. Nonono! It can't be! It can't!' Gray thought as his eyes widened.

(Y/N) looked at him with a confused expression.

"What's wrong Gray?" She asked.

But Gray didn't hear her.

"Stop the carriage! Stop!" He yelled.

But the man driving the carriage didn't hear him.

"What's wrong Gray?" Erza asked.
