Chapter 5

(3rd PoV)

(Y/N) mentally cheered but nodded.

She climbed into her bed and laid down under the covers. (Y/N) looked over at Gray.

Gray chuckled and shook his head, "Still the same Melo. Kinda."

His clothes immediately disappeared, leaving him in his boxers. (Y/N) blushed slightly and looked away.

"I thought you were used to me being like this." Gray said as he climbed in next to (Y/N). "I was, but you were gone for 7 years. I have to get used to your stripping habit again." She said.

"But don't you have a stripping habit too?" Gray asked. (Y/N) tensed up and rolled over to face Gray. "How did you find out about that?!" I asked.

"Romeo. He said that you started to do that after you guys found out that we disappeared." Gray said as he grinned. (Y/N) mumbled something under her breath.

"I just starting doing that one day. I don't know why though." She said. "Well you did live with me." Gray said.

(Y/N) sighed and nodded. "(Y/N)." Gray said with a serious tone and face.

"What?" (Y/N) asked.

"What happened to you?" He asked.

(Your PoV)

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I haven't seen you smile at all. Not even when you hugged all of us at the guild." Gray said to me.

A shadow cast over my eyes and I rolled over, making my back face Gray. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

I could tell that Gray was about to say something, so I stopped him.

"I've kept your house clean." I said.

"What?" He asked.

"I've kept your house clean. I've even paid your rent each month." I said.

"Over these 7 years?" Gray asked with a surprised tone.

I nodded. "But I thought you stopped hoping that we would come back?" Gray said.

"I did. But I couldn't stand the thought of someone else living in your house. The house you and I lived in together. So I paid the rent. All 7 years." I said as I rolled onto my back, looking up at my ceiling.

"You didn't have to do that Melo." Gray said. "Yes I did." I said as I glanced at Gray. I yawned rubbed my eyes. "I'm going to sleep. Goodnight Gray-kun." I said as I closed my eyes. "Goodnight Melo." I heard Gray say right before I fell asleep.

(8 hours later, 8 in the morning)

I woke up slowly, seeing light shine through the window in my bedroom. I looked around and tried to sit up, but was pulled back down. I looked down at my waist and saw two strong arms wrapped around my waist.

'Gray.'

I looked behind me and saw Gray sound asleep. I mentally groaned but blushed on the outside.

'I don't want to wake him.. He has to wake up eventually.'

I rolled over and faced Gray. I stared at his face and took in his features.

He looked the same way as the day he left for Tenrou Island with everyone else. 'Still adorable as ever.'

I decided to stare at him until he wakes up, just like when I was younger.

(20 minutes later)

I saw Gray stir in his sleep.

'Finally.'

He was facing me so I saw him open his eyes slowly.

"You took forever to wake up." I said.

It took a minute for Gray to process what I just said. "..Did you stare at me until I woke up?" He asked huskily. 'Damn, that was sexy'

I nodded. "Just like when you were younger. Seemed like yesterday when you did that to me." He said.

"For you it seems like it was yesterday, but for me it was 7 years ago." I said.

Gray nodded and pulled me closer to him. "What are you doing..?" I asked.

"Hugging you. You smell good." Gray said.

I blushed and tried to free myself.

"Gray-kun, I have to get dressed. I was hoping to go on a job with you and Team Natsu." I said. Gray sighed and let me go.

I climbed out of bed and grabbed my clothes. I quickly changed into my clothes and fixed my hair. I glanced at Gray who was blushing, but was already up and dressed.

"Why are you blushing?" I asked. "You just dressed in front of me like it was nothing." He said.

"Well yeah. Because of my stripping habit, I change in front of people like it's nothing. No big deal." I said as I grabbed my messenger bag.

"I'll make breakfast so come on." I said as I headed out of my room, with Gray behind me.

(3rd PoV)
(Y/N) kicked open the guild doors and stepped inside, along with Gray.

Macao gave her a look and she shrugged. Gray and (Y/N) walked over to where the rest of Team Natsu were sitting at.

"Hey (Y/N) and Gray." They all greeted. "Hey." Gray and (Y/N) said as they sat down.

"We were just thinking about going on a job with you. What do you think?" Erza asked (Y/N).

"Yeah sure. I'll go pick out a job." (Y/N) said as she stood up and walked towards the Job Request Board.

"Romeo, come over here!" Gray called.

Romeo went over to their table. "What's up?" He said as he sat down.

"What's wrong with (Y/N)?" Gray asked. Team Natsu all looked at Gray.

"What are you talking about?" Lucy asked. "Yeah Frostbite, what are you talking about?" Natsu asked.

"You guys haven't noticed? All this time, I haven't seen (Y/N) smile at all." Gray said.

They all nodded slowly. "You're right.. I haven't seen her smile. Not even when she first saw us here." Wendy said.

"Romeo, do you know why?" Natsu asked. They all looked at Romeo.

He sighed and nodded slowly. "Ever since she found out that you all disappeared, she's been like that. I was like that too. But I started to smile once you guys came back." Romeo said.

"But we're back, so why is she like this?" Lucy asked. Romeo shrugged.

"I found a job. We gotta round up a gang that keeps bothering people in Dade." (Y/N) said as she came back, with a shadow cast over her eyes.

They all nodded and got up. "It's a one day job, so we don't need to bring anything." (Y/N) said as she adjusted her bag.

They all nodded again. (Y/N) started to walk out of the guild but stopped at the doorway.

"I'll meet you guys at the train station. Oh, and guys?" She said.

"What?" Erza asked.

"I'm fine."
