Chapter 2

(Your PoV, two weeks after the departure)
"Here you go chickens. Eat up." I said as I threw rotten food to the chickens.

"(Y/N)-chan! Come inside! My dad needs to tell us something!" Romeo said. "I'm coming!" I said as I ran inside the run down 'guild'.

"Everyone, I have some bad news.." Macao said as everyone in the guild surrounded him, which weren't a lot.

"Tenrou Island, the island where the S-Class trials were being held, has disappeared. The whole island and everyone on it has disappeared." He said.

I paled and started to shake. 'N-No.. They're all gone.. Erza, Lucy, Happy, Wendy, Natsu.. Gray-kun.. They're all gone..!'

"H-How..?" I stuttered out.

"A dragon, called Acnologia, destroyed it, leaving nothing. Other guilds have tried to find the island and bodies, but they had no luck.." Macao said.

Everyone around me was crying, but I didn't feel like crying. I was mad. Sad. Both.

I then felt numb. I turned around and ran out of the guild, ignoring everyone that called me.

I ran down the stairs and ran until my legs gave out from under me. I luckily fell in a clear grassy field. I got onto my knees. I covered my mouth with my arm and screamed into it.

Hot tears rolled down my cheeks as I kept screaming.

'They were the only reason I smiled. The only reason I was happy.. But they're gone. And so is my happiness.'

I wiped my tears and stopped screaming. I stood up and fixed my clothes.

'I will not let Fairy Tail be weak. I don't care how old I am! I will become the strongest wizard in Fairy Tail! I will make them all proud!'

(Your PoV, 7 years later)

"Elemental Dragon Wing Attack!" I chanted. I hit the whole gang, knocking them out.

"And you guys said that girls can't fight. Pathetic." I said as I spit on the ground. I picked up the sacks of stolen jewels and headed towards the bank of the city I was in, which was called Scrit.

"Thank you so much m'am! Here is your reward of 10,500 jewels." The lady from the bank thanked me and handed me the reward. I bowed and left for the train station.

I sat down in a seat near the train window and sighed. 'Good thing that I'm used to transportation now. If I was 10, I would be throwing up right now.'

I shook my head and looked out the window. 'It's been 7 whole years since they disappeared. I'm never going to see any of them ever again. Not even Gray..'

I shook my head again. 'No. I have to move on. I'm never going to see him again. When he and everyone else disappeared, my happiness disappeared.'

After about 30 minutes, I arrived in Magnolia. 'I should get something for Romeo. Today is the day he's usually the most depressed.'

I stopped by a shop that sold things to enhance your magic and bought a bracelet that enhanced fire magic.

I spent about 3 hours walking around, until it became dark. 'I should go to the guild to give Macao half of the reward for the rent. Then I'll give Romeo his gift and head home.'

I started to walk up the stairs of the hill that led to the guild, "Why does this have so many stairs? Ugh."

As I passed the chicken coop, I adjusted my messenger bag. I paused in front of the guild, 'Why is it so noisy? And bright?'

I shrugged it off and kicked open the doors. I was hit with brightness and shielded my eyes. I heard Macao groan, but I felt other people. I ignored the feeling and continued to shield my eyes from the brightness since I still haven't adjusted to it.

"Sorry Macao for kicking open the door. And sorry for probably breaking it, I'll pay for it." I said as I started to adjust to the brightness, but still shielded my eyes.

"You didn't kick them open the right way. That's why you broke them!" I heard a familiar voice say. I heard other people chuckle.

"Who the hell decided to tell me how to kick open doors?" I asked angrily as I put down my hand.

I then dropped everything I was holding and covered my mouth. 'No way..'

"Natsu Dragneel, the King of kicking open doors, that's who!" I saw the pink haired fire dragon slayer say as he grinned.

I looked around and saw everyone that went to Tenrou Island. I looked back at Natsu and hugged him tightly.

I saw Natsu as a big brother and he saw me as a little sister. "Natsu.." I said as I hugged him tighter. "You've grown (Y/N)." Natsu said as he hugged me tight.

"Natsu, let her hug the rest of us too." I heard someone else say. I broke away from Natsu and saw Erza, Lucy, and Wendy.

I immediately hugged all of them, then hugged everyone else.

I looked around and couldn't see Gray. I then felt the air behind me go cold.

"I'm right behind you."
