Chapter 3

(Your PoV)
"I'm right behind you."

I turned around immediately as soon as I heard that familiar icy voice.

I looked up and saw Gray looking down at me, smiling.

"Gray-kun.." I said.

"Pyro was right, you have grown." He said. At that, I quickly engulfed him in a hug.

I felt Gray hug me back tightly. "So I've heard that you're the reason we still have a guild hall. That true?" He asked.

I nodded. "I'm so proud of you, Melo." Gray said. At that, I lost it. I started to cry. No, I started to sob.

"Y-You're back.. You're all back.." I whimpered out.

"If I've known that you missed me this much, I would've come back sooner. I hate seeing you cry." Gray said as he hugged me tighter.

"Small love rival is now big love rival.." I heard Juvia say from somewhere."

'Oh Juvia..'

"I missed you so damn much." I mumbled out. I felt Gray tense up and the next thing I knew, he was dragging me to where Team Natsu was sitting at.

We plopped down in the seats next to Lucy and across from Wendy, Erza, and Natsu.

"Tell them what you just said." Gray said. "What?" I asked confused as I wiped my tears.

"Say what you just told me." Gray said again. 'Um.. Okay?'

"I said that I missed you so damn much." I said. "Y-You cussed..!" Natsu said as he pointed at me.

I nodded slowly, "So..?" They all looked at each other and started to cry.

My eyes widened as they all cried. "You're so grown up now..!" Erza cried.

"You're older than me now.." Wendy said as she cried.

'Oh dang, she's right. Wendy used to be older than me.'

"You're the same age as me now.." Lucy said. I rested my head on Grays shoulder and held onto his arm.

"Anyways, what has happened during our absence?" Erza asked as they all calmed down.

"Almost everyone in the guild left after finding out that you guys disappeared. Since people weren't taking jobs that much, we couldn't afford to pay for our old guild hall. I couldn't do that much since I was still young." I said.

"I never thought about leaving Fairy Tail. Never. About 5 years into your disappearance, I stopped having hope." I said coldly.

"What do you mean?" Lucy asked. "I mean that I stopped hoping that you guys would return. You guys were gone for over 5 years. I just couldn't hold on anymore." I said as I looked down at the table.

"Oh (Y/N).." Erza said. "We're so sorry.." Wendy said.

"But we're here now..!" Natsu said. They all nodded and grinned.

'That's true.. They are here.. I can't believe it..'

"Oh no! Our food!" Natsu and Happy exclaimed. They got up and ran out of the guild, heading home. I shook my head and got up too. "I'm heading home too." I said grabbed my messenger bag from the table. I already gave Romeo his gift and Macao the jewels for the rent.

"I'll walk you home." Gray said as he stood up. I nodded and waved to Lucy, Wendy, and Erza. Gray and I walked out of the guild, towards my house.

"How long have you had your own house..?" Gray asked. "Since I was about 14." I said. "14?! (Y/N), that's way too young! Where did you stay when you were younger?" Gray asked.

"Your house. Duh. That's where I stayed at when you guys were still here, remember? Ever since you found me, I've stayed at your house. After you guys left, I stayed in your house until I was 14." I said as we neared my house.

Gray chuckled and scratched the back of his head, "That's right. I forgot." I shook my head and took out my key from my bag. I unlocked the door and stepped inside. "You coming inside or what?" I asked.

Gray nodded and stepped inside. I closed the door and hung my keys and bag on the hook near the door. "Follow me. I'll give you a tour." I said. Gray stuck his hands in his pockets and nodded.

"And here is my room-" I began to say as we stepped inside my room. My eyes widened and I turned around, grabbing Grays wrist. "Nope never mind. Don't look in here. Let's go." I said quickly, attempting to drag Gray out of my room.

'Shit. I forgot that I had pictures of Team Natsu and I, pictures of Gray and I, and pictures of just Gray.'

"Hold on.." Gray said as he stayed in my room. I stayed in my doorway and looked at the ground.

".. You had pictures of us? Of me..?" Gray asked. "Yeah.. I've been wanting take them down, but I couldn't." I said

(3rd PoV)

"(Y/N).." Gray began as he gave (Y/N) a look of sympathy. "Don't look at me like that..!" (Y/N) snapped. "So many people have given me that look during the years you guys were gone. I don't need sympathy from anyone..! Especially from you!" (Y/N) exclaimed as she made her hand into fists.

Grays eyes widened. He has never seen (Y/N) like this.

"You were the one I missed the most! You were the one who brought me to Fairy Tail. You were the one who let me stay with you. You were my nakama!" She yelled. "It killed me knowing that I would never see you again. I couldn't stand it." (Y/N) said as her eyes filled with tears.

Gray then engulfed her in a hug, while picking her up. (Y/N) wrapped her legs around him and sobbed into his neck/shoulder.

"I missed you too, Melo."
