Chapter 28

(3rd PoV)
"Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel Redfox from the new Team Fairy Tail will be battling Sting and Rogue from Sabertooth!"

"Yeah!" Natsu yelled.

"Let's make this quick, Fire-Head." Gajeel said as he jumped into the arena.

Right before Natsu jumped into the arena, he stopped and glanced back at Gray.

"Make sure that my little sister is okay, Gray." Natsu said. He then jumped into the arena, not waiting for Gray's response.

Gray looked at Erza and she nodded.

He then took off, running towards the infirmary.

(Gray's PoV)
I opened the door and saw (Y/N) still asleep and Porlyusica sitting in a nearby chair.

"She hasn't woken up at all?" I asked as I closed the door and stood by (Y/N)'s bed.

Porlyusica shook her head.

I looked at her, then back at (Y/N).

"You can go back to the hotel. I'll look after her." I said as I dragged a chair next to (Y/N)'s bed and sat down.

Porlyusica nodded and left.

After she left, I examined (Y/N).

'She looks really tired and worn out.. Sting really injured her.. That bastard.'

I looked down at her stomach and saw that a big hole was in her shirt, showing her stomach.

I blushed as I stood up and looked for bandages.

After I found the bandages, I went over to (Y/N) and sighed.

'It looks really bad.. I have to treat it, but she might wake up..'

I shook my head and grabbed some alcohol wipes.

'It's now or never..'

I lifted up (Y/N)'s shirt until I could fully see the injured part of her stomach.

'I really hope she doesn't wake up and take this the wrong way. And that she doesn't punch me if this hurts.'

I shook my head and began carefully dabbing her stomach with a alcohol wipe.

I saw (Y/N) flinch slightly, but I kept wiping her wound.

'Damn, there's a lot of dirt..'

I heard (Y/N) groan and whimper as I kept wiping.

"I'm sorry Melo." I said quietly.

After I finished, I grabbed the bandage the began wrapping it around (Y/N)'s stomach.

"I just have to lift her up.." I mumbled as I carefully lifted up (Y/N) and finished wrapping the bandage.

As I washed my hands in the sink in the bathroom that was inside the infirmary, I heard noises and things dropping in the other room, where (Y/N) was at.

I quickly turned off the water, dried my hands, and ran out of the bathroom.

I looked over at (Y/N) and saw that she was on the ground.

"Melo!" I said as I went over to her and carefully picked her up and set her back on the bed.

"Gray-kun.." She said weakly.

"Why did you stand up? Your too weak right now." I said as I stood next to her.

"I wanted to go see you.." (Y/N) said quietly.

I blushed as I looked away from her.

'How can she just say things like that causally?'

I shook my head and looked back at her, "Well here I am. You didn't have to go look for me. You should know by now that I'll always be by your side." I said as I smiled at (Y/N).

(Your PoV)
I blushed as I looked at Gray.

"Thank you, Gray-kun.." I said.

"Melo." Gray said as he sat down in the chair next to my bed.

"Hm?"

"When are you going to drop the formality?"

"I'm not sure. Maybe when I smile again.."

As soon as I said that, I felt Gray tackle me into a hug, making us both lay down on the bed.

I immediately felt my face heat up as I wrapped my arms around him.

We were laying next to each other, as we hugged.

Gray tightly pulled me into his chest as I felt him bury his face into my hair.

I yawned into his chest, making Gray chuckle.

"Still tired, Melo?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Get some sleep then. I'll still be here when I wake up. I promise." Gray said quietly.

I nodded again and closed my eyes.

'I think I'm in love with you, Gray-kun..'
