Chapter 43

(3rd PoV) (2 days later)

Many people were at the burial of Ina Shizuma. (Y/N) and the rest of Team Natsu were in the front by Rai.

Everyone in the crowd was crying, except (Y/N) and Team Natsu, once they started lowering Ina. Gray saw (Y/N) tense up and grabbed her hand tightly. Alicia grabbed (Y/N)'s other hand after seeing (Y/N) also tense up. Natsu placed a hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder and Erza placed a hand on (Y/N)'s other shoulder. Lucy and Wendy both placed a hand on (Y/N)'s arms while Happy and Carla stood by (Y/N)'s legs.

Rai handed (Y/N) and the rest of Team Natsu a flower as they started shoveling dirt onto Ina's casket. As Rai threw in her flower first, a barely audible whimper came from (Y/N). Natsu and Wendy glanced at each other worryingly as they were the only ones able to hear it.

One by one, the members of Team Natsu threw in their flowers. (Y/N) was the last one. She slowly walked over to the grave and stood there with the flower in her hand.

"Thank you for everything, Ina-san.."

After about 10 seconds, (Y/N) threw in the flower and walked back to where Team Natsu stood, a shadow over her eyes.

Everyone left after the burial, even Rai, leaving only (Y/N) and Team Natsu.

"(Y/N)..?" Natsu asked.

".. I'm fine." (Y/N) said with a quiet voice. "(Y/N)." Gray said as he looked at (Y/N) with a concerned look. "Yeah?" (Y/N) asked. "You don't always have to be strong." He said as he squeezed (Y/N)'s hand. Team Natsu all nodded their heads in agreement.

"I.. I know." (Y/N) said, her voice cracking at the end. Her eyes quickly filled up with tears, which then ran down her face and onto the ground. Whimpers erupted from (Y/N)'s mouth as she shook off Gray's and Alicia's grip and covered her face.

As soon as she did that, Team Natsu engulfed her in a tight hug. Louder whimpers came from (Y/N) as she continued to sob.

(3 days later, back in Magnolia)

"How is (Y/N) holding up?" Erza asked Gray as they watched (Y/N) walk outside alone.

"She's getting there. She's been out of the house a few times, so that's good." Gray said as he stood up from where he was sitting. Erza nodded, said a few words to Gray, then walked away to go talk to Mira.

"Melo?"

(Y/N) opened her eyes and glanced at Gray as he approached her, "Hm?"

Gray stood in front of (Y/N) with his hands in his pockets, "How about we go on a job? Just the two of us." (Y/N) stood up from where she was laying down and nodded as she dusted herself off, "Sure."

"Alright. Do you need anything from your house? We can stop by on our way to the train station." Gray asked as they went inside the guild and towards the job request board.

(Y/N) nodded as she took a flyer off of the board, "Yeah. How about this one?" Gray looked at the flyer and nodded, "Missing twins.. Sounds good." They then both left for (Y/N)'s house after they talked to Mira.

"I'll be right back. I'm going to get my bag." (Y/N) said to Gray as she started to head up the stairs. Gray nodded and sat down in the living room.

"Hey Gray! Can you come up here please?" (Y/N) yelled from her room. "Yeah I'm coming!" Gray yelled back as he got up and went up to (Y/N)'s room.

"What do you nee-" Gray started to say but stopped once he saw (Y/N)'s butt sticking up in the air. His face quickly grew red as he stared at (Y/N)'s butt.

"I can't find my bag." (Y/N) said as she sat up after looking under her bed. "Hey what's wrong?" She asked once she saw Gray's red face. "Nothing!" Gray said loudly as he avoided (Y/N)'s gaze with a red face.

They were both silent until (Y/N) spoke up. "..Were you looking at my butt?" She asked. Gray faced away from (Y/N) as he stayed silent, his face becoming even more red.

(Y/N)'s face then became red, "You were looking at my butt! You pervert!" (Y/N) slapped the side of Gray's head, making him flinch and hold his head in pain. "I'm not a pervert and I couldn't help it! It's not my fault that my girlfriend has a nice ass." Gray said as he faced his girlfriend, smirking at the last part he said.

(Y/N)'s face got redder as Gray suddenly grabbed her by the hips and pulled her into him, making her place her hands on his chest. "Stupid.." (Y/N) mumbled out, flustered from Gray's actions. Gray chuckled and leaned down so that his lips barely touched (Y/N)'s.

"For what? Saying that you have a nice ass?" He asked with a low and husky voice, making (Y/N) shiver. She nodded before locking lips with Gray, making him tighten his grip on her waist.

Gray's hands traveled downwards until they touched (Y/N)'s butt, then squeezing it. (Y/N) immediately pulled away from Gray and buried her face in his chest, but not before hitting him. Gray chuckled at his girlfriends reaction and kissed the top of her head.

"You really do have a nice butt."

Gahhhhh! I am sooooooo sorry for the long wait!! I started writing this chapter like 2 months ago and I just couldn't seem to finish it! Writers block is such a pain in ass 🙄
