~Day 3~
"Hey Woods!" Louis called from across the cafeteria as he walked over and sat across from me, Harry following a bit later.
"Why didn't you come down to the game room last night? We didn't even get to talk to you before lights out." He questioned as I shrugged my shoulders.
"Didn't feel like it. Sore from the fitness tests." I replied as I looked down at my yogurt, spooning around the granola. It was quiet for a couple seconds as Harry and Louis exchanged glances before looking back to me.
"We were just joking about Payne giving you special treatment yesterday...we'll stop if it's really bothering you." Harry said noticing I was upset.
"No...frankly I think you were correct." I huffed as I looked up at them.
"Correct?" Louis questioned as he and Harry looked at me with confused looks.
"He made my fitness scores higher than they actually were. He said it was for my own good and that there's a reason I'm the only female in here. You were right, he's giving me special treatment." I explained as they looked at each other with wide eyes. I wasn't anything special. Just a normal brown-haired blue-eyed girl.
"We can predict the future!" Louis yelled as he and Harry high-fived across the table making me shake my head.
"Why would he raise my scores? There's no reason to. He even said himself they don't matter!" I fumed as they pondered an explanation.
"Maybe if he passes a female through the program he gets a big bonus!" Louis said making Harry shake his head.
"No, he probably feels bad she's the only female and is deciding to cut her some slack." Harry reasoned.
"Or he has a thing for her and this is a way to get her in his office more." Louis cackled as they began laughing their heads off hitting the table with their fists.
"I'm going to find new people to sit by at breakfast from now on." I said as I stood up and walked over to the trash can to throw my food away.
"Ok, we'll see you at lunch then!" Harry called making me roll my eyes as I looked back and saw them still laughing hysterically.
"Woods." I heard someone call as I looked over to my right and saw Major Payne motioning me over towards him. I dumped the rest of my leftovers in the trash and walked over to him.
"Medical exams are up next and since you're female you're supposed to go now. You're going to work with Malik's female department today too."
"Alright, sir." I nodded as I walked out of the lunchroom and down to the physical exam room. It was a large white room with a conjoining room off to the left with a bunch of medical equipment in it. The girls from Malik's department were already there in line waiting to get scanned. It took about 10 minutes per girl and before I knew it my name was being called by an old man in a lab coat.
"Cameron Woods?" He called as I nodded my head and walked up. "Hi I'm Dr. Larson. Nice to meet you." He greeted as I shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you too sir." I replied back.
"Alright just follow me, we're going to weigh you first." I stepped up on the scale and he took down my weight before measuring my height in the corner. After, he had me sit down on the chair and proceeded to ask me some basic health questions and take a couple tests. I was out in no time and Major Malik was already in the waiting room talking to his trainees. When I walked out he turned around and smiled.
"Cameron Woods? I believe we met your first day here." He asked as I nodded my head and shook his outstretched hand.
"Well I'm Major Malik and you'll be working with me today while Payne runs some field tests with the men. We can go into the gym now that everyone has finished their medical tests." He said as we walked behind him to the back of the building where the gym was. He unlocked the doors and pulled up a switch on the wall making the entire gym fill with lights.
