~Day 5~

I had woken up around 8 in the morning, still groggy from all the flying I had done over the past 3 days. I took a shower to try and knock some energy into my system while being careful not to get my stitches wet. Upon getting out of the shower I dried my hair and saw my cellphone on my dresser. We were unable to bring them with to boot camp so it had been over a month since I had been on it. Upon turning it on it began buzzing like crazy. Hundreds of text messages from my two older brothers over the past 3 weeks flooded in almost making my phone fall off the dresser. I picked it up reading some of the last few text messages, the most recent coming in last night from my brother William.

"We miss you Cam, come home soon." I texted him back saying: "I'm already home, when are you coming to see me?" Immediately after it sent my phone started ringing, I looked down to see William was calling me. I picked it up and before I could even say hello was cut off by shouting "WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE ALREADY HERE?! WHEN DID YOU GET HOME?!" He yelled into the phone making me laugh.

"I got home last night, dad didn't tell you?" I asked assuming he knew I was coming home.

"No! Dad doesn't tell me shit! I'm coming over now goodbye," He said hanging up the phone before I could even get another word in. I chuckled to myself before moving back to the bathroom to put on some makeup. Wasn't allowed to in the service so I was enjoying the extra time in the morning to pamper myself.

After about 15 minutes I had gone out into the kitchen to make myself some eggs and bacon. In the midst of flipping my egg I heard the front door slam open and footsteps come running into the kitchen. "Cameron!" I heard William scream as he picked me up from behind and lifted me into the air.

"I'm never letting you fly again," He said setting me back down carefully and engulfing me into a hug.

"You wouldn't have let me fly in the first place if it was up to you," I said with a chuckle making him nod his head in agreement.

"You're probably right." I shook my head at him as he rested his hands on my arms. "How are you doing?" he asked seriously this time making me half smile.

"I'm ok, It's been a lot to take in these past few months." I said scooping my breakfast onto my plate.

William grabbed my plate off the counter and set it on the table as I made my way over with my crutches. "We didn't think you were coming back," He said grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting across from me.

"Quite frankly I didn't think I was coming back either, I was stranded on a deserted island for 2 weeks with the person I despised most at the time," I said making him laugh.

"Liam's not that bad, you used to have a crush on him in grade school," he said making me chuck a piece of bacon at him.

"I did not!" I exclaimed fully knowing I did but it was cut short when we moved to District 24.

"You know he came and talked to me when we didn't show for your graduation. I still feel awful about not going, I hope you can forgive me," William confessed making me nod my head.

"He told me, I forgive you, it means a lot that you've recognized how much it meant to me," I said making him smile.

"Well I'm just glad you're back now, it's been the hardest month of all of our lives," he said just as his phone rang. "One second," he said as he lifting his phone up to his ear.

"Hello?" he said as he looked up to the clock on the wall, "Yeah, I can be there in 15 minutes-ok bye," He said smiling and looking up at me. "Liam's at the airport he needs me to pick him up," he said making me choke on my orange juice.
