~Day 34~
"Welcome to the Falkland Islands...Welcome to the Falkland Islands...Welcome to the Falkland Islands." I greeted to the soldiers just how I had been greeted when I arrived.

After a grueling two weeks of preparation and flying, the remainder of the districts were finally all arriving. I was so exhausted, I could feel how monotone my voice was when greeting them off the plane.

It had taken four days for all of the new soldiers to arrive, meaning Payne and I had plenty of time to prepare. The RAF only allowed six districts to be flown into the camp a day, to reduce congestion.

It was now day four, 16:00, and finally District 24 had arrived. When I saw Louis and Harry exit the plane, I smiled at them briefly before returning to my routine greeting.

"Attention!" Payne called from the beginning of the line. The men immediately straightened up, saluting to him.

"We will be going to our District building. For the next two months, that is where you will be sleeping, so watch how we get there so you don't get lost at night when it's dark." He instructed as he turned around and began leading the group towards the building.

Since we were the last district, we had the farthest building, of course meaning we had to walk the longest. I followed from behind the large group, making sure no one dropped anything from their luggage. I felt myself stumble on the pavement a few times, but quickly caught myself before anyone had noticed.

Once we reached the large building ten minutes later, Payne unlocked the door and went inside. When I finally got inside, all the boys were already getting comfortable with their bunks that we had set up the previous days. The building was just like the ones that stored the fast jets, but instead of rows of jets they contained beds.  The floor was concrete and the walls were metal sheets. Not very homey.

"Alright men, you have until 18:00 to get settled in. We'll be going on a base tour after that and then heading to dinner." He said, practically having to shout since the first bunks were so far away from his office at the end.

"Toilets and showers are between buildings 21 and 22. Washing machines are in the main building which will be shown on the tour. Keep your areas clean and your confidence high." He concluded as he walked back into the office.

Still standing at the front door, I walked down the row of the bunks before nearing Payne's office.

"Oi! Cameron!" Louis called from his bunk, making me raise my eyebrows as I walked over towards him.

"Where's your stuff?" He asked pointing to the empty bed next to him where I had slept at the previous camp.

"Actually, I get a room in the back office now." I said, watching his jaw drop at my response.

"That's not fair!" He frowned, crossing his arms as Harry wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"You're going to have fun sleeping in there." He smirked, putting quotes around 'sleeping', causing me to roll my eyes.

"Believe me, if he ever lays a finger on me I will chop his crotch." I said as I walked away and back into the office.

About three days ago when the first districts were arriving, Payne showed me our building and told me to start moving my stuff in so it'd be ready when the rest of the soldiers got here. The office had a desk in the middle for Payne, and branched off on either side for a bedroom. Behind the desk was a door that led to a toilet and shower which we had to share. Yay.

"Woods." I heard Payne call, so I walked over towards his room, and saw him sitting on his bed.

"Yes?" I asked, stepping in between the doorframe. He was leaning down to tie his boot when he looked up.
