Alaethiya- I know some of you may be wondering the explanation behind her character that shifts based on her environment. I find it interesting crafting her character the most because I feel she embodies many girls both in the past and now. Many times we are placed within unfamiliar places, situations, and expectations that challenge who we are as a person. I believe many women struggle with the stances of leadership not due to inability to lead but due to the restrictions placed on women in society. In the story you may see Alaethiya shift from one personality to another, yet being placed in her circumstances she is finding it difficult defining her power. I hope girls can find a connection somewhere in this that relates to Alaethiya's struggle.
Gabriel- I'm honestly not sure about his character either, and I am the author. I thought I wanted to do the stereotypical alpha male that can be cruel at times but in the end truly loves the female protagonist. Yet I wish to develop more with this character and I'm curious myself in how this will play out.
