Lucy sat on the couch with blank eyes.

The words echoed. Levy

Levy left earlier. The words were only between Lucy and Porlyusica.

Lucy, you have an illness. You've only got about a year. I'm sorry.

Lucy's P.O.V

I sat there on the couch completely emotionless. My eyes didn't move. I wanted to cry.

Death.

I've never thought of it before. Well, there was this time at Tenro when Kain was going to kill me. The words froze my joints and I didn't- couldn't say anything.

All I could do was give Levy a fake smile and lie saying I'm all right.

I curl my body up and sit my chin on my knees. My hands wrap around my legs.

What's it like to feel this way?

Like your a zombie. Like your already dead. You know how painful it is to feel like this?!

It's painful.

I sobbed into my hands silently wishing for Natsu to hurry.

* the next day *

"Oi, Lushee!" Happy's high pitched voice screamed in my ear. I woke up abruptly from the sound.

That damn cat!

"Happy!" I snap at him.

He snickered before flying around happily, "Whatcha going to do about it?" He stopped flying, he froze in the air.

"What's up Luce?" I notice Natsu's presence, he had a hold of Happy's tail.

"Natsu!..." I say surprisingly loud. His cheeks turn a light pink.

"What's up?" He asked and then signaled Happy out. Happy didn't leave. -__-

"Oh- n-nothing how was the mission??" I ask hesitantly.

You've only got about a year.

"It was fine I guess, not as fun as it'd be with you," Natsu said gruffly.

Happy flew into my kitchen to probably grab a fish.

"Are you sure there's nothing up? You look like you've been crying," Natsu said. His warm soft fingers gently touch my cheek under my eyes.

I back my head up and hide my blush, "I-I I'm fine!"

He sighed before rolling his eyes, "Are you lying? I smell salt."

I pout as I look away, "I can't just smell like salt?"

Natsu stared at me blankly.

"Geez okay, whatever," Natsu mutters finally and gets up.

I didn't say anything, just watched him mumble stuff before leaving.

Happy walks out of the kitchen with a fish hanging from his mouth.

"Lushee where's nashu?" Happy asked chewing on the fish.

"Natsu went to the guild... I think," I say.

"What? That's weird. Did you two get into a fight?" Happy asked taking the fish out with one paw and laughed.

I smiled, "You sure are dumb aren't ya?"
