Sort of like a Harry Potter AU but this is just your Patronus Charm. In my last book I did -.-Hogwarts Houses-.- This ties into that.

Uhg! Supernatural is tonight and I'm freaking out! I have two hours until it records and I can't wait. Message me if you want to rant about the last episode, "The Devil in Details." (Season 11, I think episode 10)

Dean-

You and Dean had managed to sneak out without being caught in the middle of the night, using your invisibility cloak that had passed down through the generations of your family. Tonight was the night you would teach yourselves how to cast a patronus.

Running into the Forbidden Forest, past Hagrid's Hut, you stopped at the lake where, apparently, dementors had almost killed Sirius Black by. You looked over to Dean with a smile.

"You ready?"

He smirked and nodded his reply. You pulled out a charms book and flipped through a couple pages until you found the right one.

"It says we have to think of a happy memory, to let it fill you up and then speak the words 'expecto patronum.' Sometimes you get an useless wisp of smoke, a temporary shield, or the strongest; a patronus that comes in a shape of an animal," you spoke slowly then looked back to the lake. "It also says it's possible to send out waves, like an expanding shields too, but only to most powerful wizards can conjure that. Let's aim for the guardian."

"Alright, let's do this," Dean replied and pulled out his wand. He lifted his arm and closed his eyes, then recited fairly quickly, "Expecto Patronum."

There was a silver wisp of mist that faded quickly, Dean opened one eye to check if he did it or not. He groaned, "All right, you try."

"Well, no witch or wizard has gotten it on their first try yet," you reassured. You lifted your wand and thought of the day you were sorted into Gryffindor and met Dean for the first time. "Expecto Patronum."

You got the same result as Dean, you let out a confused huff.

"Maybe the memory isn't happy enough?" Dean shrugged. "It said to let the happiness fill you up and speak the words clearly, let's try again."

You and Dean stood together, thinking of every happy memory you had. Meeting your friends, leaving your house to go to Hogwarts, going home with Dean for the holidays...

"Expecto Patronum," you said at the same time, feeling confident and cheerful. Your wand erupted and out burst a horse, it galloped across the lake and then trotted to your side, circling you and Dean. Dean managed to conjure a shield, after looking at your horse it flickered then dimmed.

"It's probably not happy enough," you kissed his cheek, "what did you think about?"

"Nothing," Dean muttered with a blush, "Next time, I'll think of Sammy's first day at Hogwarts, when he got sorted into Ravenclaw. I shouted, 'still better than Slytherin,' and you smacked me on the backside of my head."

You chuckled at the memory, "Try that then."

Dean concentrated, you knew he was thinking of multiple things other than that one. Your horse stamped at the earth and you heard your fellow Gryffindor enchanted the charm. With a burst of silver light, a stag burst forth and gracefully glided through the air and settled next to your horse.

You were surprised it wasn't a squirrel...

You and Dean let out whoops of triumph and watched as your patronuses raced over the lake.

Sam-

Earlier in the year, while you were struggling to complete your homework and form spells, Sam decided to help you by taking you to the Room of Requirement to practice and work. He was a true Ravenclaw and seemed to master things quickly.
