The video above is the music video winner of Seacon 2016. I was watching it and fell in love with the song, "The Sound of Silence."

Hello Darkness my old friend// I've come to talk with you again// Because a vision softly creeping// Left its seeds while I was sleeping// And the vision that was planted in my brain still remains// Within the sound of silence

The memory was still fresh in your mind as you stared down at the blood on your hands. It wasn't your blood nor the blood of your enemy, but of a loved one.

You looked around, holding back the building tears that threatened to break through all of your walls. Part of you knew that you would be replaying this scene for the rest of your life, over and over... Like a dream, that no matter how fast you run, the monster is always faster.

Your body seemed to be taking in everything at once, with the strident awareness of the damned- the angel's blade that lay bloodied on the floor, the trench coat hanging limply from a rusted pipe, and Castiel's mangled body.

"Cas!" you shouted with joy as he came to a hazy awareness, the Darkness laying dead at his feet. God was injured to the side; Sam was currently helping him. Castiel blinked quickly, as if he were waking up from a long nap but sleep still weighted his eyelids.

"Y/n," he sighed, letting your name be the first word to slip from his tongue. Dean smiled beside you, giving you a nudge that you took that as your cue to run forwards and leap into the angel's arms. Castiel caught you effortlessly and swung you around, stepping backwards into open space.

"I missed you," you mumbled, tucking your head under his chin. You felt him smile as he reached up and held you tightly.

"I'm sorry," he said in response. "I was wrong to let Lucifer in-"

"-Cas, shut up!" you heard the brothers snap behind you, they were teasing of course. They knew how much you missed your angel. Castiel smiled at Dean, then to Sam— noticing Chuck immediately. The celestial powers shared a look.

"Alright," Cas nodded slightly, focusing back on you. He set you down gently to the ground. You stepped away and glanced into his ever-blue eyes. You opened your mouth to speak but you thought of nothing you could say. Everything seemed to be darkening, like he was the only light now.

But, then you released that it wasn't just you. Rowena had come inside the old building and told you to take a look outside.

The sun was still supposed to be up but the light was fading quickly. Castiel walked out a few paces ahead of you to study the dying sun.

No one noticed the smoke rose from the ground. You glanced back inside towards the body of the Darkness only to see she wasn't where she had been lying.

No...

"Guys-"

A breath tickled your neck and Castiel's eyes widened.

"No!" he shouted, racing over and grabbing your shoulders. He threw you backwards. You hit the ground and felt the wind get knocked out of you as you rolled to a stop. Your cheek stung and your arms were scratched. You glanced up and tried to ignore the ringing in your ears.

Castiel's blade fell out of his sleeve and he lunged at Amara, only to be thrown back himself. The angel tumbled through the door back into the building. His trench coat was ripped off before he hit the ground. He forced himself to a stand as Amara walked menacingly towards him.

The Winchesters raced to protect their friend, only to be carelessly tossed away by the Darkness.

Amara still had blood dripping from her wounds. You had thought that the attacks from all the witches, demons, and angels would have killed her. That expelling Lucifer from Cas' body and attacking Chuck would have drained her of all power. You had thought wrong.
