I took a lot of convincing to get Dean to the animal shelter to buy a pet. In the end, he set a 'Terms and Conditions' that you happily agreed to follow.
Dean wasn't as big as a dog lover as Sam, but in the end it was him that guided you to the puppy section.
"I like this one," you said as you walked over to a kennel with a German Shepherd puppy. You grinned as you put your hand to the bars and the little pup barked happily and tried to lick your fingers. Dean stepped behind you.
"I once worked a case with the Shepherd before," he nodded, crouching in front of the kennel. "Want to go home with us?"
A little bark was his response.
"I'll take that as a yes."

Sam-
Sam always wanted a dog, so for his birthday, you and Dean went over to a nearby shelter to look for one.
"I think Sam will like this one," you said, pointing to an Australian Shepherd. The ball of fluff looked up at you with the sweetest gaze. Dean nodded his agreement.
You arrived back to the bunker with a leash in hand. The little puppy was scrabbling to search out every new scent, yapping happily while circling around your feet. With a little laugh, you dropped the leash and let your little Australian Shepherd find Sam.
Within the next minute, Sam came to the kitchen with the puppy in his arms, doing his best to smile with the Shepherd licking his face.
"Happy birthday, Sam!"

Castiel-
It was your one-year anniversary with the angel, Castiel. You hadn't expected him to get you a gift, even though you still got him something. But, he showed up in the kitchen while you were eating breakfast.
"Y/n, I have a gift for you. I got him specially for you." He placed an Savannah cat on the table. Your eyes widened as you reached out and pulled the kitten closer until it was cuddling against your chest.
"Cas, thank you! He's beautiful!"
