Giordana

April / May 2014 (No Place Like Home Tour)

It's been around four months since I last saw the guys. As per usual, my parents took us back to Sydney for the Christmas and New Year's period. I briefly got to see Luke, Calum and Ashton; but as you would have guessed, Michael wanted Mikey and Gia time, because it was hard to even talk to each other sometimes with the time difference and everything.

Currently the guys were on a break from opening for One Direction's Where We Are, stadium tour; and they were travelling around Australia, doing a small tour. I'd flown up to Sydney to surprise them. They had no idea I was coming.

When I was in Sydney for Christmas, I was fortunate enough to get to see the other guys briefly; and when I saw them, I exchanged numbers with Luke. We spoke almost every day and he even FaceTimed me when he could. I didn't tell Michael though. I didn't want to tell my best friend that I possibly had feelings for his band mate, that I'd only met once before.

I got off the plane and turned my phone back on. It vibrated in my hand, notifying me of messages that I had received and missed on the hour long flight from Melbourne to Sydney. They were mainly from Anna, complaining about me going to Sydney again, with out inviting her. Yeah I know I could have invited her, but this was one part of my life I wanted to keep to myself.

I ignored her messages and opened the one from Luke.

From Luke: so am I gonna get to see you while we're in Australia?

I thought it was cute, how he was eager to see me. I knew Michael was as well. It was why I wanted to surprise them. There is nothing better than seeing the look on your best friend's face when you've surprised them.

To Luke: you might. You might not. I'll see what my schedules like when you're in melbs x

That was a lie. I was currently at Sydney airport, waiting at the baggage claim; I would collect my bags and then head straight for a cab to take me to the Enmore theatre, where the guys would be playing tonight. I'd called Karen, Michael's mum, to organise a VIP pass for me, so I could head backstage. I had to go and collect it, from the ticket collection place first though.

Once in the cab, I made sure I had everything I needed. Cash, my debit card, and all forms of ID, that I would probably need to prove that in Giordana Angelo, when I go to collect the pass.

We pulled up to the theatre and I saw the same body guard that lead me up to the hotel room seven months earlier. It was a while ago, but I never forget a face. Never, "let me take your bags, Miss Angelo," he said
"I told you last time to call me Dana," I laughed at his professionalism, "I have to collect my pass from the front," I told him
"Already got it for you," he said, "a lot of fans showed up early, and I'm sure the guys don't want you're name all over the place,"
"Thanks," I smiled at him, "they here yet?" I asked
"Yeah, they're just inside,"

He showed me to where the guys were, backstage. I saw Michael first; he was never hard to spot with his ever changing hair colour. It was now brown. None of them had even noticed I'd walked in. So I decided to scare them. Or at least one of them. Luke was sitting the closest to the door, headphones on, and guitar in his lap. I walked around, so I was behind him and covered his eyes with one of my small hands, the other taking off his headphones, "look whose schedule just opened up," I laughed. He jumped at my words and turned around
"What the fuck?" He asked, causing all the guys to look towards where we are, "but you just messaged my like an hour ago,"
"I was already in Sydney, when I got your message," he laughed, and pulled me in for a hug

Michael ran over first and basically yanked me out of Luke's grip, "so you can message Luke but not reply to my messages?" He asked me. It was then that I realised that he had messaged me as well. I completely forgot
"I'm sorry Mikey, I just replied to Luke and then my bags came and I was completely distracted,"
"You always reply though, I was worried,"
"I was on a plane dude, and if I told you I was on a plane it would have spoilt my surprise,"
"Ugh you know how much I hate surprises," that was a lie, he said he did, but he loved them. I mean how could you not love a surprise! Especially one as good as this!
