December 28th (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico)
"Mikey," I screamed, jumping out of the sun lounge, "I'm sorry I worried you,"
"You have some fucking nerve," he said to me, and I was so confused. What did I do?
"What are you talking about?"
"How the fuck dare you send me a text, freaking me the fuck out, about coming back to Sydney; and then none of us here from you for days! Which freaks us all the fuck out, by the way; but you don't care, do you?" He was yelling, and thankfully this was a private area, otherwise this little altercation, would have probably ended up all over the internet, "and the next thing I know, you're texting me , telling me, that we need to stop talking because it's ruining your relationship? And now you fucking show up here?"
"I don't get what you're saying? I never sent that text," I told him
"Don't lie to me, G. I have the message right here," he pulled out his phone, and showed me. There it was clear as dayFrom Giaaaaaa: hey, so I didn't wanna say this over text, but it's gotten to the point where we probably shouldn't talk anymore, it's ruining my relationship. And I really don't wanna lose Brian
"What the actual fuck?" Monti got off her chair, stormed over, and snatched the phone right out of Michael's hands. She looked at something for a moment, and then pulled out her own phone
"What are you looking for?" I asked
"Just wait," she said, "hold this," she handed me Michaels phone, it was still open on the message, "what date was that message sent?" She asked
"Yesterday," I said, it was the first message he had from me in four days, so it was displayed just above the message
"Okay, slide it, and check the time," I did what she said, and the time was displayed at just after two pm. New York was three hours ahead, making it five pm there, when I was at the bar
"It says two pm," I said
"Okay now look at this," she said, handing her own phone over to me, the screen displayed her call log
"What am I looking at?"
"The FaceTime call to you," she said
"It says the same as the message," I said. I thought about it for a moment, before I realised I didn't even have my phone then."I didn't send it," I said
"Prove it," Michael urged
"I was at the hotel bar when this was sent," I explained, "my phone was broken for four days, that's why no one was able to contact me,"
"That still doesn't explain the message,"
"My phone was in the hotel room with Brian," I said, "I was backing up everything on to it, from iCloud, I came back in and he was literally going through my phone,"
"We can back her up," Crystal said, "we FaceTimed her, and you would know this if you showed up. When we messaged everyone to tell them, about what was going on,"
"And? So? I don't get it,"
"Will you quit jumping to conclusions for once in your life?" I asked
"Gia wasn't the one who answered the call," Holly said, "Brian did, and we think it was by accident, we saw his face for literally a second, and when he realise what he did, he hung up hoping he wasn't caught,"
"How can you accidentally answer a FaceTime call though?" Mikey asked
"Easy," Monti said, "he was trying to do something on the phone, and pressed where the answer button was,"
"Honestly," Holly laughed, "isn't that button like in the same spot as the spot where you press to send a message?"
"Yeah," Mikey said, "the amount of times I accidentally answered phone calls I didn't want to answer when I was trying to send a message..." he trailed off, obviously thinking about what he just said, "oh right,"
"Yeah," I said, "you get what we're saying now?"
"I do," he said, he didn't apologise, instead he just walked away."So he's not even going to apologise?" Monti asked, "like he literally just accused you of being unable to make up your mind!"
"It's just how he is," I shrugged, "he'll apologise when he's ready," I said, "so what do you say? We put everyone out of their misery, and have a good time?" I asked, "I came here to have fun, if I wanted to be bored and miserable, I would have stayed in New York,"
"Wait, before we do that," Monti began
"What?" I questioned, my three friends looked at each other and Crystal was the one to speak up
"Does Brian know you came here?"
"No, but then again, I didn't even tell him I was leaving,"
"What?" Holly asked in shock, "how did you leave with out him knowing?
"He was out with some friends, and I decided I was leaving. Didn't leave a note or anything,"
"Good," Monti said, "he's taken up enough of your time with his petty as fuck behaviour!"
"Has he tried calling you?" Holly asked
"Probably," I shrugged, "but I wouldn't know, I blocked his number,"
"Where is Gia Angelo, and what have you done with her?" Monti asked
"I don't know, but I'm sick of Brian being a controlling ass, and I'm so done with his shit. What happened in Arizona made it clear that he wasn't going to change, and New York, was just the icing on the cake,"
"Well I have to say," Monti began, "I do like this bad ass side of you,"
"So do I," I agreed
